A couple of matches showing up on GOL-TVs schedule:

    Monday, July 16th...1pm ET...AS Monaco v Newcastle
    Thursday...July 19th...12:30pm ET...AS Monaco v Sivasspor (Turkey)

I question the July 19th match as te German FA has cancelled all Turkish side matches in Germany following a pitch invasion during the Germany v Finland match. So unless the site has been moved away from Germany, this match may be cancelled. AS Monaco v Newcastle is taking place in Germany where Monaco (now a Ligue 2 side) are preparing for the upcoming season.

GOL-TV's coverage isn't necessarily a deal with AS Monaco but rather with Kentaro who are the international distributers for both of these matches. Kentaro also own the rights to the following matches which may give us a glimpse at other possible matches upcoming on GOL-TV:

    July 21
    Birmingham City vs. Borussia Moenchengladbach
    Fenerbahce vs. Newcastle United

    July 21-22
    POLISH MASTERS TOURNAMENT
Participants: Benfica Lisbon, Athletico Bilbao, PSV Eindhoven, Slask Wroclaw

    July 25
    Borussia Monchengladbach vs. 1860 Munich
    Fenerbahce vs. Wisla Krakau

    July 26
Bayern Munich vs. VfL Wolfsburg (in China)

    August 4
    Brighton vs. Chelsea

    SA,

I was wondering if Kentaro has distribution rights to any european leagues. I am encouraged by GOL TV showing so many pre-season friendlies, and could see them picking up some matches as well.

The only league Kentaro seems to represent is the Swedish Allsvenska. They do distribute the Audi Cup (Munich) and the Emirates Cup (London) both of which GOL-TV has picked up in the past.

They do have the following National teams which may give us a glimpse into what WC qualifiers we be on GOL-TV come September: Austria, Sweden, Norway, Wales, Faroe Islands, Rep. of Ireland and Kazakhstan.

They also have the following matches (keep in mind these matches are for their european distribution and regional rights may trump GOL-TV's availability. USA v Jamaica is a good example):

    FIFA 2014 WORLD CUP QUALIFICATION
    September 7
    Wales vs. Belgium
    Kazakhstan vs. Republic of Ireland
    September 11
    Austria vs. Germany
    Sweden vs. Kazakhstan
    Norway vs. Slovenia
    England vs. Ukraine
    USA vs. Jamaica
    October 12
    Wales vs. Scotland
    Faroe Islands vs. Sweden
    Kazakhstan vs. Austria
    Republic of Ireland vs. Germany
    England vs. San Marino
    October 16
    Austria vs. Kazakhstan
Faroe Islands vs. Republic of Ireland
    Ukraine vs. Montenegro
    USA vs. Guatemala

The preseason friendlies are NOT worth anything. "$1" plus transmission cost.

Oliver, I certainly can't speak for others but for my own view, the above response is the #1 reason you rub some people the wrong way. You may find this hard to believe but for 90 minutes there is an actual game going on during a transmission. You are probably too busy watching the advertising boards, analyzing the graphics on the screen or waiting for the "chica" to show up at halftime.

You seem to be a bright and able businessman (aside from the ocassional wild imagination) but honestly, I question if you are a FAN? Money makes the world go round. We get it. I get you...your slant on soccer as strictly a business goes back to your webpage days. It's OK and a lot of your information is useful. But man, you have taken away any doubt I may have had that dollars and cents are number #1 on your list while the game itself takes a back seat.

HD wants to watch a game because he's a fan. Pretty easy to see that 99% of the people posting here are fans. You seem to think that $$$=quality of play. Not so. Out of curiosity, have you played soccer in your youth? Coached?? Still play??? Honestly, not trying to make this personal and I apologize if it sounds that way. Just get this feeling that soccer has no special bond for and its no different than being a poker agent or running corner a store....
