It could also be from both sides. No reason for him to come up because another injury might stall his club career. That's not worth risking in a friendly against Luxembourg and Switzerland. If it was an important game, I'm sure he'd be going.
i never said he was, i just saw/ heard that he may recover from his injury, and play for paok, but apparently he wasn't even on the bench. so they were just rumors i guess.
Cimirot played 90 minutes in the final game of the season that ended 0-0. PAOK finished 4th which puts them in a round Robin playoff for a Champions League 3rd qualifying round spot if they win. Runner up goes to Europa and they're also in the semis for the Greek cup (winner goes to Europa).
With the win paok has guaranteed itself a europa league spot and are in position to enter Champions League qualifiers with a win or draw against AEK on the 29th. AEK needs to win today against Panathinaikos (up 1-0), if they lose PAOK would need a win and better goal difference to secure the Champions League spot. Either way they control their own destiny. Another note, Cimirot on Sunday will have played a game every 4 days these past 2 and a half weeks. Kid needs a break.

Paok playing against Ajax in champions league playoff. I will probably see him in action on 26th july when they play in Amsterdam.
