Hows it going. My names Joe Foreman and I'm going to Vancouver for Spring Break(from University of Montana) Was wondering if anyone could recommend any good bars/resturants that show soccer matches. Any info would be much appreciated and I wouldnt mind meeting up with some fellow soccer fans. Thanks.
I will be camping most of the time so wont have access to a TV other than a bar or resturant.....any good suggestions? Sportsnet....is that "Canadian ESPN" or somethin?
Post that question at this site (Vancouver Whitecaps Supporters forum) and you'll be sure to get some response: http://p208.ezboard.com/bcanadiansoccersupporters or here at the Voyageurs site: www.canadian-soccer.com/forum Canada has two main sports networks: 1. TSN - they only show Champions League same day coverage 2. Sportsnet - Saturday morning EPL games (double or tripleheader). and a couple of ethnic stations: 3. TLN - Shows a whack of Serie A 4. TV5 - Some French La Ligue 1. We also have FSW Canada, slightly difft schedule than FSW you get and only on digital cable.
Sportsnet is like ESPN. Check out their website www.sportsnet.com for a schedule. They will be showing the England-Northern Ireland game live at 10am on the 26th of March. With any luck they will also show the Canada-Portugal game on tape delay.
Thanks for the help.....that be cool to see Canada beat Portugal. Are any of you going to Seattle for the Gold Cup?
I believe a group from BC (and other provinces perhaps) will be going to the games in Seattle. There will also be a group at the Boston game.
