quick question. do league match tickets ever go onsale at the emirates? specifically, v West Brom on Monday night, 25 Sept? asked on behalf of a neutral in town on the night.
League games typiccally don't. It's rare that they do, since we have a high membership, and most sell out pretty quickly. His or her best hope is to find a fan who cannot attend and use his or her ticket. Or if they are willing to risk criminal charges, find a tout. The League Cup games are often general sale. Possibly some Europa League games will be too, though i doubt if we play AC Milan or another top team in it.
cheers darc. that's pretty much as I thought ... but given the dynamics of the last couple years, I wasn't sure if that hadn't changed a bit.
Hmm, I woulda thought a workday evening match against the likes of West Brom, you might get a seat via Red membership / Ticket exchange. But I'm certainly no expert. And I've certainly never secured a ticket that way personally. The few times I've come over in the last 20 years, I've either gotten a spare ticket from an acquaintance or via Arsenal America (back in the day when Rick Breese worked his magic). @pookspur if your friend is American or Canadian maybe they'd want to check out Arsenal America to see what ticketing/advice they might have to offer to (potential) ArseAm members?
good call, Rich. to be fair, that's kinda what I thought I was doing here, but I guess there just aren't any of 'em around anymore. shame that.
So I might be making my first trip to europe in march. I see Arsenal play stoke on March 31st. What would be my best chance at tickets...Arsenal America or a Red membership? Which would I know about tickets the soonest?
You'd almost certainly get a ticket on Arsenal America as it's a low profile match. Having said that I'd try my luck on the ticket exchange group on facebook. There's a group called Arsenal ticket that's really great. I've joined and have had the chance to get tickets before (they sell out quick) but passed. For this match I'm sure there will be plenty of tickets. I only recommend going this route because the atmosphere at the Emirates is not the best BUT if you sit with the season ticket holders you'll have a brilliant time. The seats Arsenal America is allotted are awful. Mostly fileld with fans who only go for the check in.
Given the current state of attendance at the Grove, I figure you have a great shot of getting an exhanged/resold ticket. I'm not familiar with that process for Arsenal, although I recall it's not as good/easy as it is in MLS. Check previous posts/advice in this thread or others. Good luck!!!!
Longtime lurker, first time poster. So, I’ve a chance to go to London for the first time in September and it just so happens to be during the Everton match, but it appears to be sold out. Any recommendations on how one could find a ticket? It may be presumptuous of me to think things have changed since this thread began. Not sure if brokers/second party sellers are the best idea. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
