I have cluster A for the group stage, booked it march 23 once I got tickets, its all sold out for months now in those dates
I think him getting Argentina tickets x 3 sitting together will be the biggest challenge. Life is simpler (better?) without wife and kids. Somewhat agreed with the poster that u won't enjoy as much with an infant but this will be great memory few years in future.
World Cup matches have never been on free to air TV in Qatar. Bein won’t care about that either as they will be making huge amounts of money. I don’t however believe that venues will choose not to buy the license because of the costs. I reckon every venue that currently shows football (premier league, champions league etc) will have WC matches on. Then add in all the public viewing areas (not just fan parks). During the last WC, it was very easy to find somewhere to watch games. Unfortunately being able to watch on the TV in your apartment for example, probably won’t be possible.
Interesting; I see them promoting the TOD app on the Hayya app. 30% discount. Will we need a subscription if we want to stay in our room one day and watch matches?
Yes, that's the reasonable alternative (fox in the US), but sad that it comes to that. With all the billions Qatar spent they could subsidize bein.
Thanks! That'd rule out cluster A and with three weeks left for kick-off, the chances of new clusters cropping up might not be high. @Sami Gharbi
Did Some broadcasters blocked VPN streaming in 2018? If not, that sounds like a better option. I’ll bring my Apple TV or Roku
I'm sorry, as I'm sure this was discussed - please feel free to direct me to the appropriate thread (I've already done a search and looked at some postings). I received my Hayya Entry Permit via email - what do I do with it? I've downloaded the PDF to iPhone's Files app (and Notes app, just to be sure!). Opening my Hayya app, there is a "Hayya Entry Permit" link, which displays my photo, and the QR code looks like the one on the PDF document. Anything else I need to do? Thank you!
Can't remember about 2018 but as somebody who works abroad for months at a time, I can tell you it's random. Broadcasters can suddenly get much more aggressive about blocking VPN for special events (i.e,. Super Bowl) and platforms like Xfinity Stream often require you to be in your home Wifi network to watch certain channels. The best option is to sign up for a local Bein app for a month if they have one, hopefully with SAP so you can switch to the English broadcast. The other is to try out different platforms (they all offer free trials) via VPN in Qatar and see what works. Fubo TV, Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, etc.
The times I've tried to stream BBC, it has made me confirm whether I've paid for a license (think all Brits pay for one when buying a new TV or something?). I haven't found a way around it as a non-Brit.
That’s was always a plan. Love the UK commentary. Don’t forget your extra long HDMI cable to connect to the TV too
And if someone is still worried about names, my tickets are under *Qatar airways* , so you can change your names to that and it will be fine
What I do is I VPN back to my house, so the services see it as a home connection, not a connection from a known VPN or datacenter, so their protections don't really kick in. Doing VPN on apple tv is going to be tough, Android TV devices can do it (nordvpn app for example) but there's also cool little device you can carry that can vpn bridge for you essentially.
A country isn't a vpn server, my house has a router that has an open vpn server, so I connect to that and then I am in my local home network to do things as if I were home, including streaming.
valgame dios! send me info on the device. I've been working from home too long. I used to do all this stuff way back when.
Its a beauty, I will dm you. So some friends work in mortgage lending, and they cannot access their corporate vpn from outside USA, so with this little device they can vpn to USA to then get into their work VPN to access all their reports and be able to work from anywhere They were happy when I got them setup with it haha, working from Medellin for a few weeks.
When that happens I discover that if you go back to the online account you will see that a ticket is missing a guest name...
