I absolutely hope you are correct. However, I don't think I'd bet much on it. I think having the "official" events (matches + Fan Fest) hold a much harder line than unofficial ones (Arcadia, laxer enforcement, etc.) is probably easier to sell to the faction of the populace that are already probably up in arms about any alcohol being sold at all. Remember it wasn't until 11 weeks out that the policy was announced. To make any major changes to that now would pose both media/political challenges as well as logistical ones (arranging for the extra booze, etc.) Again, I hope you're right and they loosen things up even more. I just won't be counting on it.

I think the 5% resale + 5% buy back charge is another big money maker for them.

Definitely. Especially when they gave us all shitty seats in the earlier sales phases. I'm sure a lot of these resales are just fans trying to get any seat in the lower levels.

And also, they give the money back ~ 2 months after the ticket was sold. Money makes money

Though to be fair, most of us who bought tickets prior to the second FCFS and live in countries with non-USD currencies have actually made a small profit on resales….

I’m spending more time “upgrading” shtty seats than actually going for the games that I still need. I’m starting to think grabbing tickets early on isnt worth it

Yea, just the peace of mind that you had tickets to begin with, even though you could touch the roof. So i don't know if this is even across the board, but my friend got selected in the first random selection draw, and her cat2 tickets are actually decently low. Do you think they prioritized the first draw, to the 2nd draw?

I think in retrospect, targeting the in demand games at smaller stadiums probably would've been the move. Instead we all tried to cart everything we could.

In previous World Cups, my best games I got in the latest drops.

I think in Brazil, I got great seats for games I didn't even have - The Opener, Netherlands x Spain, and USA x Ghana. But as others have said, there is value in piece of mind.

I got tickets in both draws and they were all bad. My TST package had the best seats.

That same thinking made me take a chance with getting hospitality for M57 and M39 (Argentina v Poland). I was able to buy CAT 1 for M57 today so looking to offload them but it doesn't look so easy at a $1600 each.

Oh sorry I did not clarify, hers was TST4 from the first random selection drawing.

I got a 4 stadiums serie cat2 on the first FCFS phase, before the draw, 'blind", not nowing the groups yet. In ended getting M4, M8, M10 and M15, and as a neutral fan I couldn't be happier. Then I learnt they are all top conrner section, top double letter row almos outside the stadium. These days I'm just upgrading seats to lower cat3 rows...

Hi guys, looking for accommodations for a fiend and his 2 kids, cheapest possible (I read here that there were places for $84, not sure if they're still available). Could someone point me in the right direction? I'm seeing $200+ right now.

The cheapest are Barwa Barahat Al Janoub Clusters. They are not available around the dates of the 1st weekend of the games. I have a room that I may need to cancel/transfer at that price for the 1st week. Send me a DM if your friend might be interested.

    Sign me up! :)
I have tickets for both games and intend to attend both, even at the cost of missing bits of one match.
I have #51 & #52 as well, but Al Thumama to Al Bayt is a very long drive! Maybe your Taxi driver contact can provide his input on it.

@Qatar_Ben Let me make you feel at home by throwing some Qs at you (like on other forums :)) Also adding Doha-based @vibrantcolours
What's your take on doing two games in a day during the knock out phase? If it do-able?
#49 & #50 appears quite alright, given the distance between Khalifa to Ahmad Bin Ali.
How about the drive between #51 & #52, given it's from Al Thumama to Al Bayt?

Similarly, I am sitting on a tickets for Match #36 & #41, although my higher priority games on those evenings are from Group B and Group E.
Similar routes as above Al Bayt to Al Thumama and Ahmad Bin Ali to Al Bayt.

We also have at least one fan @OzRed trying three in a day, which is only practical in the lower half of the draw (as Al Bayt is out). Education City to Stadium 974 to Lusail seems to be the route.

    TIA for your inputs.

The clusters are no longer available for some dates. But I am guessing that there is still one cluster waiting to be released (or maybe it's all booked out, but I doubt it). It's Cluster A.
    https://www.qatar2022.qa/book/en/detail/57814/4369-Barwa-Barahat-Al-Janoub-Cluster-A

For those booked in clusters, do chime in if you have a booking in Cluster A. That might provide insight into cluster A being a potential drop candidate.

I just put BRA v SRB, CAT1 up for resale. It hasn't appeared on the platform yet. But it can be yours!
Here is the location: Block 617, Row J, Seat 6

I decided that I couldn't miss out on all the night-before-the-England-match festivities, including a Thanksgiving dinner with fellow Yanks, and an official US Soccer party. We could get another great appearance like Will Ferrell with Teddy Goalsvelt at the Night Before Party in Recife, Brazil, before the match against Germany! I think Ted Lasso + Coach Beard could be possible.

I'm keeping a list of the people trying to do any of the Al Thumama-Al Bayt or Education-Lusail combos to try and gauge the possibility come the QFs. So, I'll be interested in any feedback on this topic as well.

Does fifa enforce 6 tickets per game per household limit? Can I safely buy more using my account and my wife account?
