2 of the last 3 world cups were also in the winter with Brazil and South Africa being in the Southern Hemisphere, Brazil's 4 pm games where also pretty dark if I recall correctly

 

Yes, but Brazil is like that regardless of winter or summer, because it's location over (or near) the Equator

 

You haven't truly experienced a World Cup until you've stood last row in the dark, winter cold of desolate Rustenburg's roofless track stadium watching your country get knocked out with an extra time winner...

So 75F in the dry Arabian Desert air sounds pleasant, maybe even get some Ws this time

 

I mysel like the summer World Cup because final games start with daylight and then move to night...love that change.

I have two TST7s. One is the main applicant and the other is a guest in a friends account. As you know TST7 knockout tickets will show up only after the group stages.

Account1: Main fifa account email id. That has the TST7 main applicant. On Hayya website, I use Fifa login to access my Hayya. Also I have a physical hayya card.

No account2 yet. Plan to create one and ask friend to send the guest ticket to this second account. Name on second account will have a minor spelling change and minor passport/DOB change.

Is this the way to set it up ? Questions:
* For non clashing games (say TST1 picks quarter final QF3 and TST2 picks QF7, can I ask friend to push ticket to Account1 to keep things simple ?
* For clashing games (say both TSTs even though they are cat1 and cat2 end up with QF3), can I use my main fifa account ? Or why risk , is it ?
* As I have Hayya physical card, should I just continue to use the physical card and act as if account1 and account2 are not even related to this Hayya card.

#main-applicant I was so excited the first time I saw this. Did anyone figure out what this is for ? It says Modify Ticket Holder. I see this in my account which has no guests but just the main applicant. Does this allow us to change the main applicant details

 

So England FA emailed to say that only category 1 tickets are to be collected in Doha. Category 2 and 3 will be sent to the ticket app.

No idea why there is a distinction.

I’m happy that I don’t have to collect although a paper ticket would have been a nice souvenir

 

Yes you can change it, the good thing is once u change the main applicant name, and the ticket get downloaded to your app, you can actually send it, even though it is main applicant.

 

Thanks. So does it mean Bob (main applicant) can change main applicant name for one of the tickets to Robert (friend) ? Not sure what you mean by "automatically downloaded to app". Send it to Robert with the ticket having Robert's name on it ? Wow.. that would be cool.

 

Factory new Fan Guide has just appeared on Hayya App (Android).

 

Not sure you would have got that far if it hadn't been for a Robert Green howler in the same stadium two weeks prior. Also dark and cold!

Lasting memory from my game was buying two sets of flashing blue deely boppers from a vendor on the side of the road. Both were placed on the dashboard of our black SUV hire cire and we drove literally to the stadium. And I mean literally right up to the stadium and parked up.
