Restart your router or get a VPN if you're worried about that. They could also filter applications based on: - same first and last names - same address (which they say they will but didn't do in the application process) - same credit card number I think it will be much easier for them to cross-reference any of these during the PURCHASE phase because instead of dealing with 15 million applications, they will be dealing with maybe 1/4 million max. I am assuming 1 million tickets available (104 matches) and every lucky lottery winner buying the max allowed of 4 tickets. Also during purchase you will have to enter the billing address of the credit card used and they can match it to the address originally provided... though I still think they won't do it because they'll want to SELL, SELL, SELL... that's their #1 objective, they don't care who buys and they'll let the touts resell tickets to the real fans...
As long as you're using a real email address for your FIFA ID, you're good to go. That's how you'll receive the tickets, through email and you'll load them in the FIFA World Cup 2026 app (iOS and Android).
Can you log on/off the app to access different profiles if you used different emails to get multiple tickets? Lucked out in Qatar getting everything under my main email/phone # but I vaguely recall people having issues with this.
Of course. In our AI-epoche FIFA can easily cross-check everything: IPs, addresses, cards etc. And they should do it to weed bots after the application period. WC in Qatar was a completely different epoche - a before-AI one. So, now it's 10 times easier to cross-check everything.
Yes, you can log in and out of the app freely to access different accounts on the same device. You just can’t be logged into the same account simultaneously on mutiple devices.
FIFA certainly can filter by IP, but still I don’t understand clearly which rule would be broken by submitting application from the same IP? If the ip is from an office for example, no rule would be broken? Correct? I am wondering if I need to make applications with no fixed pattern?
I think this fear comes from UEFA doing it during their application. FIFA is global. Some parts of the world still have people share computers/devices or internet. FIFA would be restricting access. the goal of the VISA Presale is to give VISA global recognition and exclusive revenue on their global VISA network. The goal here isn’t to be fair to fans.
Ladies & Gents, many of us may choose to game the system to get as many purchase windows as possible. And we know in the past FIFA has not paid much attention to enforcing most of their ticketing rules. However, in case they change course for 2026, I did a close read of the T&Cs and highlight a few key points for those who want to make sure they fly on the straight and narrow: One FIFA ticketing account per person One presale entry per person AND 1 presale entry per household Payment card must be a VISA debit, credit or reloadable prepaid card and it is validated upon the application submission during the September window The applicant must be the named cardholder and cannot use another's payment card Each application selected in the lottery will get 1 time slot for purchasing tickets during the presale in October, and you can enter the portal as often as you like during that timeslot Tickets prices will be variable but not dynamic Maximum tickets per household is 4 per match and 40 for the tournament - this includes all phases of ticketing, including Federation Supporter tickets 1 million tickets are rumored to be released in the VISA pre-sale What FIFA does not explicitly clarify is: What is the applied definition of a household. It is assumed it's a physical address What prices the tickets will be, whether per venue, match or stage Whether each timeslot will be allotted an equal sampling of tickets, or whether all 1 million tickets are available in the 1st time slot and then slowly deplete How many timeslots will be used, and how long their window will be Whether the same VISA card will need to be used when actually purchasing tickets Whether an IP address plays any factor in identifying a "household" Taken to the letter, this means that two persons -say husband and wife, each with their own FIFA ID and VISA card but with the same address, cannot both submit an application to the presale. Technically, if they did and each bought 2 tickets to the same match, that would be in violation, even though the 4 ticket limit per household was not breached. Now we all know it is extremely unlikely they will enforce all of the above. The only question that remains is which, if any restrictions will be overlooked: Multiple applications with the same address even though different names and IDs? Multiple applications by the same individual using different FIFA IDs but the same VISA card? Applications using somebody else's VISA card? Multiple applications by the same person using FIFD IDs but the same address, or passport number, or phone number? Will the credit card name need to match the FIFA ID, or will the two addresses need to match? Will you even need a VISA card to actually buy the tickets in October? Experience says they won't do any of this, but nobody knows in the age of AI being the craze. Good Luck but be prudent! BTW If any of my bullets can be demonstrated to be wrong per FIFA terms, let me know with evidence please and I will correct.
On a lighter note, this ad keeps popping up in the BigSoccer Forum. I guess the answer is: not long if FIFA has their way!
“BTW If any of my bullets can be demonstrated to be wrong per FIFA terms, let me know with evidence please and I will correct.” FIFA have defined household as follows in the FAQ: https://gpcustomersupportfwc2026.ti...r-of-FIFA-World-Cup-26-tickets-I-can-purchase It’s reasonable to assume the pre-sale uses the same definition IMO.
PERFECT! Somehow I missed that FAQ. Thanks. The term “household” refers to the postal address provided in your FIFA ticketing account when applying for a chance to purchase tickets for the FIFA World Cup 26™. This means that all accounts registered with the same address are considered part of the same household for ticketing purposes. As a result, sales restrictions are limited to four tickets per match and a total of 40 tickets for the tournament per household. All ticket purchases linked to the same address in your FIFA ticketing account will count towards the household limit.

FIFA World Cup 2026 Ticket Draw Tops 1.5 Million Applications in First 24 Hours https://www.ticketnews.com/2025/09/fifa-world-cup-ticket-drama-tops-1-million-application/
Just logged in to reply to a couple DMs. Hope everyone is alright. Good luck everyone, remember to enjoy the process. Careful with your alias accounts. You might get shadowbanned if you overdo it.
Point #4 is wrong. Somewhere in FAQs it's clearly stated that one can use ANY Visa card to pay for the tickets. Not necessarily the one you applied with. But only VISA cards accepted during this stage.
Welcome back. I can't help but think your handle is on of the most astutely named of all time! Here we go again is EXACTLY how I feel about World Cup planning and ticketing!
1. I decided to test if this applies. I, for fun, used one visa card that has small limit and is therefore useless for purchase to unlock 9 applications. We will see if any of those 9 imaginary accounts will get a purchase slot. if yes we will have the answer to at least two questions. 2. that is already answered in fifa media release, answer is no, you can pay the tickets with any visa card
Anyone know if I can edit the credit card I put on my initial entry application for the presale draw? If not, is there a way to cancel the initial entry and resubmit a new one with the new credit card ?
