They're just two brands from the same company. Not just the same multinational conglomerate--Michelob was introduced by Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis in the 19th century.
Yeah I did wonder this too. As it's a combination of the beer cup styles we've seen at matches in USA mixed with matches played in Mexico. But who knows.
I drove to the stadium and getting to and into the parking lot was relatively easy. Had a similar experience as yours getting into the stadium. Getting back to my car and out of the parking lot was also pretty straightforward. All in all much smoother and easier than Metlife. It was a great match as a neutral.
Hahahahah Marianelah, that's so funny!!! Right now, the United States is a step below the world's elite teams. Can they win the World Cup? Yes, just like Greece won the Euros. This is football, and in a single match, anyone can beat anyone. I wouldn't underestimate the Euros. It's a tournament where five World Cup champions play. How many play in the CONCACAF Gold Cup? As for Spain, they have a great team, and above all, they play incredibly well. Can they win the tournament? Of course. Can they get knocked out in the Round of 32? Also yes, just like any other top team. Enjoy the World Cup!!
Is there anyone on here who used the buses for the Brazil Morocco game? If so what were the arrangements after the game in terms of finding the colour line you needed. i.e. which bus to take back.
that was FIFA dumping unsold tickets, a lot of category 2 tickets went over "resale" first for 450 usd, and then for as little as 350 usd
no, they can't, euro and world cup are two different beasts. on the top of that greece only had to win 3 KO games, usa would require five
Fully agree with you but would not underestimate Greece's feat as they had to beat the host nation twice and also possibly the two best teams in France and Czech Rep.
My wife had a clutch with a shoulder strap that was a bit bigger than measurements and they waved us right through as well.
I believe in America! But we gotta win the group. The negative part of USA doing well is ticket prices have attracted new money. Other than baseball that has a 765 game season; the World Cup is the only show on earth.
Hardly a duff product , packed house , great game and good atmosphere. Clearly means not overpriced . Is it expensive yes , it would have been the same price no matter what fifa set the original prices . All th cheap tickets would have just been bought by touts and bots
exactly. The free market flows and sets floors in America. No one is forced to buy a $3000 match ticket. it's a choice. And no, it's not the wealthy buying tickets... it's the middle class. Same for Mexico; M1 was packed with Middle class Mexicans.
Not sure the first half warranted being called a great game. Second picked up though mainly because a goal from either side was dearly required.
It was easy to find. I would recommend the bus shuttles to anyone, very well executed. Only issue was dropoff on the way back had to be further west than anticipated in midtown due to the Knicks game. But that won't be a problem for the other games.
Just FYI but it looks like touts are driving up 3p resale by going and listing tickets that are available for face value on the resale market (e.g. lower demand games) for a higher price, knowing that most Americans will just use the 3p resale site/app of their choice for convenience. Arbitrage play hoping it'll work out; probably will for a lot of them.
Anyone have a good sense of if low demand games are dropping on fifa website in the hours leading into the matches? Seems like not really....
Anyone been to Sofi Stadium (LA Stadium) for USA's opening match and sat at the Block 500+ seats? How is the view?
Interesting is probably a good word...https://aviewfrommyseat.co.uk/venue/SoFi+Stadium/seating-plan/football/
In Atlanta for Spain vs Cabo Verde right now. Marta to the stadium was easy and cheap. Concession prices are Atlanta Falcon prices. Everything is reasonably priced. Coca cola cup has country names and colors. Free refills, $4.
They arent as bad as they sound. Sofi maybe one of the coolest stadiums around, hard to explain. Open air and enclosed at the same time. The field and section 100-200 are 'below street level' so when you walk in the 500 level isnt 5 tiers up. If that makes sense. Great stadium, every seat is solid but obviously 500 is a ways from the field.
