USA - Australia will be the game that decides 1st place. Who would have thought? Prices are going to shoot up even more after Australia's win tonight. I didn't know you were at the game, I could have said Hi. We got lucky that our seats were in the shade after half-time. For the R32 at 5pm, we'll be seated relatively high up on the East side of the stadium and we will have the sun setting in our eyes, it will be hell if it's a hot day like today. I think the heat affected the players, especially Switzerland. It was a good game and Qatar actually deserved the tie.
I am waiting on M59. I expect it to be meaningless. I may just drive over near the stadium and see if I can get a ticket for $200 or $300. I saw people getting last minute tickets to M4 on the marketplace for under $500 that way.
We were in the middle of 404. Surprisingly the top three rows of all the 400 sections were in the shade... kept thinking damn... should of got those top row tickets lol. The last minute Qatar goal was awesome
But again, those are asking prices. Until we see inventory going down significantly, I am guessing those are scalpers trying to capitalize on the hype of the USA win. Of course, the price is likely to be higher if the USA is in that match.
Just going to bed now 3.30am. Incredible performance from the Socceroos, played the perfect match. Completely drained and have lost my voice. What an amazing day. Vancouver rocking tonight.
Well, let’s look at the positives…….Scotland got 3 pts……….that’s about it! The MBTA train arrangements were better than I expected. Got to Patriot Place early enough to establish camp in the Harp before the lines got huge and got back to South Station before 12.30 am. Stadium was pretty full, a few areas of empty seats in the hospitality level, and an empty seat next to me. Good support for Haiti from the expat population, made for a good atmosphere particularly pre game.
Generally; It’s not coming down my friend. USA wins M32 it’ll just bring a second fresh batch of dumb money into the market for a US match. They’ll be too many buyers vs seats available. But you may be able to snipe a deal with your bot.
Congratulations. The sorcceroos are always a tough match for anyone. Rest up for Seattle. It’s going to a dog fight
I got my tickets predraw, are prices going down at all? I never believed they would but honestly haven't been following prices.
Hi all, we've made it! I hope everyone has the best experience ever. Are clear bag sizes being checked thoroughly? i.e. fully measured. I have one that I bought from outside sofi when I went to a gig, a few years ago, didnt have any problems then. Just measured it now and the length is about 2 or 3cm larger than the 30cm or 12in stated on the fifa website. Any real experience from games or fan fests this time around would be appreciated. Thanks
Curious for anyone who attended Brazil - Morocco yesterday what their experience was like getting in and out of the stadium. I had a parking pass for the American Dream mall and I arrived like 5 hours before the match and had lunch there and hung out at the mall for a couple of hours so it was quite easy for me, there was no traffic when I arrived. After the match it took me almost an hour just to get out of the stadium and walk back to my car (FIFA forces you to walk quite a circuitous route to enter/exit the stadium from the parking lot) and then maybe half an hour to get to the highway and on the road to Philadelphia, so all in all it was tolerable. I heard some people relying on ride shares or shuttles were there for hours though. It sounds like maybe a lot of people avoided using the train because of the absurd price and that probably made everything else a lot worse.
I suppose your mileage may vary but at least at Metlife yesterday nobody was getting out a tape measure. They were mainly concerned with making sure nobody brought in food or an open container of water (closed bottle ok). Such a throng going through the lines I'd be amazed if your bag was a problem.
I'm not sure if it’s because the USA won big in their opener or if the hype is just real now that the tournament has started, but resale prices are shooting up. Now I'm doubting if I can even score cheap tickets right before kickoff. I was hoping to grab M59 on the cheap last minute, but looking at how things are going, getting it below face value seems impossible. Even if the US wins their second match and the third game becomes meaningless, it still looks tough. I also expected M20 to drop under $100, but ever since the tournament kicked off, all the cheap tickets are gone. Finding two seats together under $200 each feels out of reach now. There were quite a few tickets on LMS before, but they've vanished. Maybe they gave them away for free or something? Even M54 (Korea vs. South Africa), which I'm planning to go to, is seeing cheap or good seats disappear fast. There are way more Korean fans in Monterrey than I thought, so by gameday, everything might just sell at around face value. And M28 (Mexico vs. Korea) is just insane. My friend bit the bullet and paid $2,000 for a seat in the very last row of the 1st tier. Now, it looks like you can't even get a nosebleed seat in the upper deck for $2,000. It's crazy.
Not the US, but just an FYI. The concession prices at Guadalajara Michelob Ultra 710ml: MXN 310 ($18.00) Corona 710ml: MXN 290 ($16.80) Michelob Zero: MXN 270 ($15.70) Water 600ml: MXN 80 ($4.60) Nuts: MXN 150 ($8.70) Personally, I think this is already expensive, but I bet stadium prices in the US are gonna be even crazier.
Well, somehow, we got tickets to M4 at about a 70% discount on the “original” sale price, so waiting saved us nearly $3,000 just on that match. LOL. We also saved nearly $10,000 waiting until day of the match for 2 tickets for 2 people in our group for the 2022 final. So, I am going with the proven strategy.
In San Francisco Bay Area yesterday. Very pricey! They limit to two beers per person... but you can go back as many times as you want! It's just to protect themselves from greedy lawyers...
San Francisco Bay Area stadium feedback... they check contents visually, didn't even open my Stanford bag (which has a zipper) and couldn't care less about size (unless it's way too big). I had two unopened bottles of water, and since they didn't check, it could have been Tequila or Vodka but then I was with my kid so they assumed it was not Getting in the stadium was a very smooth process, there was no wait at the gate I went to (Gate C) but I could see lines at Gate A where parkings and public transportation are located.
