I would wait for the NBA Finals to finish before the atmosphere picks up. Unlike other countries, USA does not have soccer as the centralized beloved sport by the masses

Do you need to pre book the bus to Galerías?

    Yes

As it happened - the bus was sold out so i got an uber. When i got the bus back - noone checked fir a ticket. The aim was just to get people away.

It looks like all the departures to the stadium for M28 are 2-3pm for a 7pm match. Seems a bit extreme to get there that early.

Are there bars/restaurants near Plaza Galleria to pregame and then grab an uber towards the stadium? Im staying near Glorieta de la Minerva and wanted to bar hop before the game (but not go in the opposite direction to Chapultepec)

Not sure if serious, but those seats were $600 each yesterday. This match has bounced back big time.

So I presume the stadium'll be almost sold out, right?
So many people have thought stadia would be half empty during this World Cup.
They didn't watch the previous World Cup hosted 32 years ago.

Those are nosebleeds. I mean sure, not at retail. Match is pretty full. Just went section by section in marketplace and yeah, lots of sections have availability. But only a few seats when you scroll down.

Been in Vancouver a few days now. There is a good, fun vibe here but clearly football isn't the 'life and death' thing it is in traditional football nations. The main st has been blocked off and turned into a football festival. Plenty of Aussies in the streets. Seen a few more Turkish fans today. Downtown bars here were full for the Canada game just now. Same yesterday for the Mexico game. Plenty of locals I speak to are going to the Australia v Turkey game.

I think I'll have to give up on M8. The floor price isn't really dropping, and I need it to cut in half before I consider it. Resale inventory has gone down about 1,000 in the last day, so sales must be happening. The apps are $150-200 higher than FIFA.

I'm an easy sell, would go to my local stadium to see literally any two World Cup teams, but I have to have some price standards. I still have three games in the venue, so I'll be OK. I expect there will be many visible empty seats tomorrow, which is pretty common there for warm afternoon NFL games, even if sold out. The stadium has no shade and you just bake.

I was there for the 2015 Women's World Cup final-- the night before was coincidentally the 4th of July, and Granville Street was full of US fans. I had to explain what was going on to more than one confused local who wondered why we all came to Canada to celebrate our holiday.

I think it would be a great place to stay in one spot for multiple games, for those inclined to do that.

Yes there are. It is a shopping complex, so not like the historic district, but yes, a decent place to meetup and then get an uber.
I thought the time of departure was just daft. I was not getting to a stadium 3/4 hours before. There is little around it as well. It IS a good stadium, though.

I’m old, I don’t know a single performer at the US opening ceremony, unlike Canada. Alanis Morrisette and Buble (heard of him, but don’t know any of his songs).

I’m inside. It’s full. And there’s tons of people standing in the standing areas near bars and facilities, this is the best stadium in 26. Shame they dumped the final to Jersey
