No, you do not need to be a member of the french federation for this.

When you sign up for a FIFA-account they ask you which team you support, if you put in France you will be able to see and buy these tickets. I am pretty sure you can just go to your settings and change it to France now to be able to see them.

Correct! Those are the times the ticket says. Gates open: 14:00 ceremony 16:30

The opening ceremony will be about 30% full on TV. People in LA arrive late and they have no idea how hard it’s going to be to get to their seats.

You’re right. I didn’t scroll down far enough on the ticket. Gates open at 2 p.m. That’s pretty early for a 6 p.m. match. And yeah, the stadium is not going to be very full at 4:30 p.m.

All FIFA Collect (RTTs) appear to have been delivered. I have even received my FInals tickets!

I wonder if they read my post where I suggested they should under-promise and over-deliver, as they certainly have in this case.

    Mostly really good seats too.

It's very interesting that M4 is selling "worse" than M29 (USA Australia) despite it being a Friday 6pm match vs Friday noon match. Although Friday is a holiday for 6/19. Wonder if M29 still comes down a lot, looks like a lot of professional touts on resale given blocks of 6+.

What’s really interesting is that it’s materially lower than on the 3p resale market, saw on Tickpick a min price of $900 just now.

Just rebooked my Guadalajara hotel. For $758/4 nights down from original booking that was for over $1,500 for 4 nights. Same hotel, equivalent room.

Know a friend that did something similar in Mexico City - moved to a different hotel in a better location for less $$.

Just by scanning available hotels on booking.com seems prices have come WAY down in all 3 Mexico host cities.

First off, let me say that Infantino seems to be totally comfortable lying. He doesn't always lie, of course, he also says things that are deliberately misleading but perhaps technically true (sometimes his perfect English is a little less than perfect, I don't think this is always a coincidence). I would not be surprised, for example, if FIFA 'sold' tickets to a subsidiary that it owns, or to a set of closely aligned ticket brokers, who then are the ones who actually coordinate the 'resale' of these already 'sold' tickets on various secondary markets. I'm not lawyer, but I assume this would be illegal in other markets, and it might even be here -- although in about six weeks this will all be over and FIFA will roll out of the U.S., Canada and Mexico and head back to Switzerland. It will probably close its office outside Miami (which houses its legal and compliance division, which I suspect has been quite busy orchestrating a lot of this shady-ness). FIFA has definitely screwed over fans with these ticket prices, I wonder if it has also screwed over many ticket brokers? (If so, it's not a group I'll shed any tears about.) The US DOJ prosecuted lots of FIFA people back in 2015, I can't see that happening today.

What does this all mean for us? I assume nothing, as a practical matter. The crooks will get away with it. Hopefully many of us here will be able to see more games in person because we can hoover up cheaper tickets at the last minute, but whatever the case: Starting tomorrow, we'll have 11 consecutive days of four matches a day! Then we'll have 'only' six matches a day to conclude the group stage -- at which point, the real tournament starts. The money my family and friends have saved on tickets is going towards one very long and sustained watch party spread across backyards in our neighborhood. For those of you lucky enough to have tickets tomorrow: Have fun, we're envious and will be watching!

M32 = smaller stadium and one match in Seattle instead of two.

For M4 there must be others like me who were scared away by the original prices and now it's too late to pivot for travel and time off work. The last-minute buyers have to be overwhelmingly local.

This is key. M4 is just locals waiting for a bargain. I know dozens just playing the wait game.

I fear I may have to give up hopes of a bargain for M8. The resale floor is staying stubbornly around $230, meaning people are posting at $200 + 15%. The apps still have the bad seats in the $300-400 range.

It's interesting to see an asymmetry between the apps and the FIFA resale market. I've noticed it goes in both directions.

Look at the number of tickers available. Is it going up or down? If up, wait.

I'm going to M13 on Monday, no ticket yet. Available tickets go up by 100 each day.. no rush.
