I’m staying in LA for a few days, but I haven't booked a place for the first night yet. I’ll probably choose a spot based on where I end up watching the match. I'll be getting around in a rental car anyway. From the second night onwards, I already secured a place in DTLA.
In London - you would know that the World Cup is taking place, but not that a match is taking place in , say, the Tottenham stadium. That is what I meant. The specifics.of the USA atm, I dont know, but megacites are not the measuring point.
Hi, need to sell the 4x cat 3 USA vs Paraguay. I'll sell for under face value, $1050 per ticket. Face value was $1120. Hope someone can go and enjoy them. They are US supporter tickets.
Anyone else having an issue with a ticket that is not able to be viewed/transferred. I literally have 1 ticket in my account that I cant transfer to anyone (no issue at all with the others) Regular ticket bought in one of the public lotteries. Other tickets on the account are all gucci. 20 emails to fifa and just canned Ai responses to try a different browser etc. Tried multiple browsers/different IPs/mobile etc. TIA
Same Got some discount semifinal tickets compared to current market value. Resold them at face value. Was excited at first but then couldn't imagine what i'd feel like after the game paying thousands for corner nosebleeds. My previous semifinal tickets price: Brazil 660 cat 1 Russia 285 cat 3 Qatar 357 cat 3 USA 1940 cat 2
That makes sense to me. It’s pretty hard to get fired up about sitting at the very top of a huge stadium after paying $2K, or even $1K.
I'm searching the dregs and seeing QAT-SUI M8 staying consistently higher than the games involving Jordan in the same stadium. My guess is that demand is a bit stronger because it's the only Saturday game and thus more convenient for locals who just want one game to experience the World Cup. I'm hoping for a two-digit price and might head to the stadium that morning, searching the resale on my train ride. Maybe somebody on the street will have a spare ticket. How does that work in the mobile ticket era?
One (maybe the ONLY) benefit of Levi’s Stadium getting the “dregs” group games is maybe prices will drop significantly for one of those dregs game (Qatar v. Switzerland) so I can attend my first ever WC game in person.
Yeah it's the Levi's opener and only Saturday game. Everyone that works normal schedules/has kids is watching it lol. $160 is the lowest I've seen it. Austria Jordan three days later on Tuesday already hit $90. Weirdly I've only seen Jordan Algeria go down to $115, but it has a lot of category 1 tickets at $200. Probably PayPal and xfer. PayPal has some protections. I'm old so don't know how to zell / cash app? Take pics of each others ids if the seller lets u.
I think the two Jordan games are your best bet. On resale there are lots of tickets just sitting there in the $110-150 range. The strategy is to hope there are too many of them and the prices will drop in the last days. The counterargument would be that people who haven't been paying attention and haven't been trying for tickets will have a sudden surge of demand once they see the tournament start. The unofficial platforms are all notably more expensive than FIFA resale for these games. I'm also curious how the market will move there.
Yeah, one of the Jordan games looks like my best chance for “cheap” tickets, but no way I’m using up one of my paid days off to watch two teams I couldn’t give a crap about. (I’m saving up my paid vacation for Spain later this year and luxury train trip next year.) Speaking of PayPal, maybe FIFA should move the Jordan games to PayPal Park to ensure a sellout, since capacity is way lower than Levi’s.
Is the home team always listed first on the FIFA ticket websites (LMS and Marketplace)? In other words, the supporters’ side for each team on the stadium seat map is always the same side as their name appears? So: USA vs. Paraguay USA side is on the left, Paraguay side is on the right?
With all the talk of potential last minute bargains, have started contemplating buying tickets to Scotland Haiti when we're just about to go in the stadium. If they really do drop to silly levels might have the chance of 'upgrading' on my gash Cat 2s. Can't see it happening with Morocco or Brazil games so I'll keep my seats in the blimp Fifa have put me in and watch through a spyglass.
Yeah, some of those Category 2 and 3 seats in the last couple of rows at the top are ridiculous. I was looking at the seat view for some of them and the players look like specs on the field. Those tickets should be less than $100.
Price discovery requires transactions. The games I'm keeping an eye on, only the cheapest tickets in very good seats are moving. A handful a day. I expect this to remain like this until Friday or Saturday. M5 and M8 on Saturday will set the tone for the coming games (big games excluded).
One potential complication is the performance of the site. If the marketplace gets bogged down in long queues when the games start, secondary transactions won't be able to occur smoothly, even on third-party sites (since those require transfers through the website rather than the app).
