The mentality part is the problem with the current batch of players. Talent wise the team should be able to compete with anyone. Past versions have beaten Spain (the best Spanish team ever), Portugal… never lost to england etc. if this team can focus on playing hard I think they have the talent for a surprise semis run. (With a little help from Gianni )
Hopefully no-one shouts "get in the goal" similar to golf tournaments. About time the England band was retired. That is a dirge. The worst are supporters that whistle non-stop when the opposition have the ball.
Having said that the Resale platform seems to be going bananas with loads sold in the last 30 minutes. How accurate this is I do not know but certainly interesting.
There’s some good deals. I sold a few LA matches at a considerable loss. I’m likely not the only one.
No idea where you get that from loads want and are going to get tickets last minute . Huge demand from what I can see . More than any other tournament before . The narrative is really off the mark
Plus tickets are going up at the moment and have not gone to 50$ or whatever some you thought they would do . the idea that somehow you had this huge work cup buzz in Russia etc is utterly false as well. Buzz builds up naturally when the football starts . There was buzz in Brazil and Germany 06 but these are football hot beds. Why do people keep moaning that most in US don’t care about football . It’s well know . WE KNOW
Just 5 more days and people are finally going to buy all the tickets… I hear that every 5 days or so…
they will, just not at current prices. it'll start on 6/12 after the USA game. a couple of dregs on Saturday
Sometimes the scanner updates only once or twice per day. As a result, it may appear that a large number of tickets were sold within a few minutes, when in fact those sales occurred gradually over a 24-hour period
I looked on the SeatSidekick site and earlier this afternoon it was at around 258,000 and each time it refreshed over the next hour or more it gradually got down to 230,067. I looked a couple of hours later and was back up to 250,676 so goodness knows what all that was about.
FIFA's been shifting their inventory around, between LMS, marketplace, and third party. It's like they're going out of their way to obfuscate supply and demand signals as much as possible.
The Jordan Algeria game has been doing this too... It'll be at about 6300+ seats available on resale and then the next day 5800 and then 12 hours later back up to 6300
Full disclosure I have all my tickets and zero spares to offload. My guess is it will be a day or 2 before the game before FIFA drop the prices. I believe they will and in some cases will need to drop significantly. Any price drops won't make any difference to me now. I do think i have overpaid in some cases. I did last year for the CWC. Canada v Bosnia and USA v Paraguay will be interesting.
This ^. FIFA is dumping tickets on other resellers’ websites. They must be holding a huge amount of tickets still.
Speaking of the World Cup atmosphere, where should I go in LA to watch the US match (vs Turkey) and really vibe with the crowd? I’m flying into LA from Monterrey late that afternoon, so the timing to get to the stadium is a bit tight. With that kind of uncertainty, I don't really want to drop over $800 on a ticket. Instead, I'm trying to decide between heading to the Fan Fest at Union Station, going to Cosm (though I just checked and it’s already fully booked except for GA), or checking out some other pubs. Does anyone have any good recommendations?
Does anyone know where the FIFA ticket distribution center in Guadalajara is? I bought a parking pass and it's saying I have to pick it up from them but they have zero info on where the center is actually located.
This Beat Figo and Portugal in 2002. We beat the unbeatable Spain in 2009. Had Ronaldo and Portugal beaten until almost the last minute in 2014. Never lose to England. Just got to get over our little brother syndrome. With a little help from the refs anything is possible. Uruguay 30. Italy 34. England 66. Argentina 78. France 98 all won at home with help from the refs and weird ass scenarios like Pele being battered, Cruyff not showing up, and Ronaldo having seizures. Just gotta pray and believe baby.
