I would not be surprised if we see a lot of "prime" cat1 and 2 seats up for sale tomorrow for even higher prices. They are banking on people who missed out being excited to pay anything to get tickets. Nothing about FIFA suggests they will put out reasonable prices to ensure it sells out. They will keep pushing high prices for as long as they can
I agree too. I think they're publicizing these in order to rip people off again. Maaaybe the matches we are calling the "dregs" will see decent prices now. The rest, not so much.
I sense tomorrow.for the less demand matches we will see lots of 'Cat 2' tickets released in interesting places. The only way to repease tickets without reducing prices. They can also start wrapping up the hospitality sales for the groups. Noone is booking that category at this stage. So that wipp be a batch of Cat 1s between the 18 yard lines. I have also seen hotel rooms available to book that are cancellable. So maybe the block bookers have released their bookings now they.know they are not going. The only people who can book last minute are the locals and people who are already in a location. It is the group stage endgame. Not going to bother logging in until 2 hours of it starting. Wasted enough time as it is.
Wait, why would a recently-activated BigSoccer user try to charge fellow users 500 USD , without any WC tickets being exchanged? @spoilern9 , is this true? Are you charging half a grand to our forum users, without any WC tickets being exchanged?
So weird, I randomly looked at my seats yesterday and noticed one game had changed. Instead of 2 next to each other it is one right behind the other. Not a big deal, kinda lame though.
That’s actually a big deal. They should not separate two seats from each other no matter what. Changing the location of the seats is worrying but separating them is actually a di** move.
Just booked myself on this day trip to Tequila, Mexico (from Guadalajara). One way is by bus, the other by a luxury train with a bar serving .... well take a guess. Includes visits to a distillery, agave fields and 'free time' in Tequila in the middle of the day. Looks like fun for those interested in this kind of thing. https://mundocuervo.com/jose-cuervo-express-1/
Less than 41,000 tickets sold for the opening match in the USA? And probably a large portion of those tickets purchased by scalpers trying to offload them for $2,000+ per ticket? We could see a half empty stadium for the opening match. This is beyond ridiculous.
I agree but I wonder how they will do it. Maybe US Soccer Insiders will get a "buy one, get one free" promotion type of deal?
I think we'll see an increase of Cat3 tomorrow. Probably the entire upper deck. They can also add a second USA PMA sale. There's plenty of time until they're forced to embarrass themselves and slash prices. Dont forget; the Entertainment hasn't been announced. That could fill some seats as well.
It will not be a "sellout" at these prices. They have had plenty of time to sell these tickets and 40% of tickets aren't sold yet and there are thousands more available on secondary markets by scalpers that never intended to go. Now they may do a last minute giveaway to sponsors, kids soccer clubs, etc. But this could end up being one of those "sellouts" where there are empty seats all over the stadium. I'd be a buyer at about a 75% discount of these prices. $2k for nosebleeds (400-500 level Cat 2) is an absolute joke. I would have paid more a few months ago, but last minute travel to LA will be difficult and expensive. If I was able to secure flights and hotels earlier I'd have more money for this game. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this position. FIFA has a decision to make, significantly drop prices and hope for enough demand or it's massive giveaways to fill some of the empty seats. It's a buyers market now and holding inventory is like holding a melting ice cube as we get closer to kickoff. I'll just wait and let the market come to me or pass. I've got much cheaper tickets that aren't in nosebleed sections for knockout games later in the tourney. Pricing like this for a group game where 67% of teams advance to knockout stage was a brain-dead decision.
We're in transition as a species... we still using technology to hoard all the resources... Our monkey brains are programmed to secure as many bananas as possible lol. Lots of ai people are trying to hint that this is not the way... I think everyone myself included just need to visually see the robots doing all the work first. Hopefully sooner than later we will all be able to freak out that we have no job, but have Elon's "universal high income" and robot assistants. Might be another 20-30 years. Hopefully I'm still alive to see the "Jetsons" life. Gonna save all my uhi for a World Cup 2050 ticket where my "Rosie" carries my old ass to my easy access seat
