For the bottom 10-15 of weekday matches, nothing will lead to an uptick in demand. My opinion 2 months ago was you'd be able to get these for $50 in days leading up to the match, and that remains my opinion.
Panama v Croatia in Toronto would hardly come into that category, would it? I thought I saw someone mention there was a large Croatian community in Toronto?
I wouldn't put that match in this category. I'm referring to: Weekday afternoon kickoff times In the larger 70k stadiums Both teams without strong local support & traveler group So most of the bottom 15 here: https://www.ticketdata.com/performer/world-cup-soccer?sort_by=get_in_price&sort_order=asc That match Panama-Croatia is evening kickoff in a small 45k stadium with some local support. I imagine it'll be near the average of slightly below for group stage, probably a 40% percentile.
The 'there is a large diaspora of X nation in Y location seems to be doing an awful pot of lifting'. Croatia isnt exacrly the biggest country in the Balkans, never mind Europe. The diaspora cannot be that big. Now - there are a LOT of people in the Toronto MTA and is the nearest Quebec and Ottowans will get to a match, but I really tire of this diaspora stuff.
I would agree but often ex pats are more passionate and excited to see their 'homeland' play on the rare occasion.
In the region around Toronto there are upwards of 40,000 people who claim Croatian descent. Add in those from slightly further afield and you have a reasonable ticket demand.
I think there's a fair number of Panamanians in the US East Coast (I think they might be behind most of the demand for Panama vs England) who I think would be willing to go to Toronto for this game. For what it's worth and based on my cursory knowledge, I don't think this game classifies as a dreg, at least not a full one. Maybe a 1/4 dreg?
My main point is - that could be said about nearly every country in the tiournament. Anyway - if you are going - enjoy the match.
Agreed. Thankfully, I will be there! (hopefully not having to pay a $100 ticket between Seacucus and Metlife though...)
FYI - If anyone wants M6 or M31, they are easily cartable in CAT2 lower level with Turkey PMA for $380 USD. I'm not interested but letting y'all know.
Panama/Croatia will have similar demand to Germany/Ivory Coast here. The other two group stage matches (Ghana/Panama and Senegal/Iraq) will have lower demand.
Just got the last ticket I was waiting for, M59 Turkiye vs USA @ Sofi. All set now! Thanks to God. It's gonna be sik!
If someone is from Atlanta and knows the stadium, can they pm me, please? I have a couple of questions to ask.
On the Spirit point - notwithstanding the quality of the airline - get on with booking your flights if they currently fly on the same route. If they go under, the competitors will put the prices up.
https://njtworldcup.com/njtransit-ticket-process/ Round-Trip NJ TRANSIT rail tickets from any NJ TRANSIT rail station to NYNJ Stadium for matchday travel will be available starting May 13 for a flat rate of $150 per ticket. Customers MUST purchase tickets in advance, as availability is limited and tickets may sell out. As someone predicted, anyone going to the stadium from ANYWHERE (including from NJ) with NJ Transit will have to pay the $150 fee.
On the other hand, there will be a shuttle. The one coming from Hackensack will be $80. This is insanity, man. They're also saying there's only a limited number per match day (40,000 with the NJ Transit train). They're creating artificial scarcity for these! Wouldn't surprise me if these end up being scalped. Screw this nonsense. Not only is the price nuts, they don't even guarantee everyone will be able to use the means they're making available. I'm starting to agree that NJ should have never gotten this...
Do they have no care for the damage they are doing? NY is on my itinerary as I love the city, but I am not going to a match there. It just feels too much hassle.
Three MetLife bus shuttle services are available, for a $80 round-trip: - Two from NYC: Port Authority and Midtown - One from Hackensack, which you mentioned Edit: they are digital bus tickets, so I doubt they are transferable from an scalper.
Anyone who doesn't yet have a ticket to an NYNJ game should scratch the venue from their list, or stick to just one game, at most. Those of us who already do have tickets to games there, will have to figure out what to do.
I'm dreading the surge pricing with rideshare and the traffic congestion. Thankfully our group going is four people who can split Uber each way but it may very well be equivalent to the bus shuttle option in the end.....
