Yes, I can't imagine that fans of Scotland, a team that has never advanced in a major tournament, are going to shy away from a match out of some kind of "3rd match won't matter" analysis. They might shy away because of the price, but that's a different matter. In the specific case of Scotland-Brazil being in an early group, the 3rd-place path doesn't take away much of the pressure, as the 3rd place team in that group may have to wait on the results of ten more groups to know if they advance. A Group C team facing the 3rd-place path will want to try to finish 2nd to remove the uncertainty, or at least build up the best point/GD total they can for the 3rd place table.
Yes, and on Safari too. Chrome I empty the cache and it usually resets. Safari, nothing does it but I have Developer and Debug tools on so maybe that's the issue. I can't turn them off (separate issue).
I think a lot of people are on the one ticket thing for the streak with you, myself included. Doing the opposite of what everyone is trying to do usually ends up in great value. I will wait until right before the match to buy my tickets so the price will be free of all the market manipulation. "This has been manipulated, man" -- Lewis Hamilton, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 Fair play to the resellers trying to feed their families, but I sense a lot of foreclosures on these tickets come game time. Gonna buy them for pennies on the dollar.
So, for the low demand matches there was a "front row seats" drop then the next day, a regular tickets drop. Today there was a front row drop for high demand matches. So if the pattern holds, there should be some regular tickets for the most interesting matches in the next drop
For what it's worth I paid $325 for a ticket to the final in Pasadena in 1994. Bought it of an Argentina fan outside the stadium about an hour before kickoff. I think the face value was $300. Pretty good seat, probably Cat 2 by today's standards.
One other crazy thing about this idea of selling "front row" premium added on to certain normal seats is it will likely add this whole new level of selfishness and entitlement to some of the people there. Often in front rows and front of lower sections, a lot of unpredictable stuff happens: standing up, extra people there etc. that comes part and parcel with being there. Life was so much easier when we all just paid the same initial price for the ticket across every ticketing phase

This reminds me of the two guys in front of me during the WC final wearing these tall, "funny" hats (and the guy next to me, who was smoking...)
The fact that no media is picking up on this BS to report the abuse is the most disconcerting fact...
I think this thread really needs a moderator. This thread shouldn't become a chat. There are already 506 pages in this thread (with 2 months before the start) and is already difficult to navigate (I lost a lot of time to find some valuable posts from previous months). With all my respect, but some posts from thread are completely uselles.

Excellent, Licho. And if the party is annoyed by 'chat', the party can also say sonething constructive that helps people on this page. I assume the party is going to games and has advice on transport and hotels and the like.....
I have a question regarding airlines in North America. I didn't use any of these, but I think American Airlines, Delta, Air Canada, Aeromexico, even Soutwestern, are safe options. But what can you say about Volaris, Frontier Airlines, Viva, Spirit Airlines or Alaska ? I'm more interested about delays and cancellations, than comfort or prices. For example, all the games in Mexico City are in the evening. It it possible to arrive in the city in that morning/ afternoon ? Or the risk of delay (border control, weather, traffic jam to/from airport etc) is too big ? In Europe, without border control, is not a problem.
I dont recommend arriving the day of any game. Too many things that could go wrong. However, make it easy and dont check any bags. You should be fine on any of those airlines. Buy direct from the carrier in case there's a problem it'll be easier to resolve. Arrive as early as possible and hope for the best.
