I heard US Soccer had done a lottery draw in the past too, I think for US games only, anyone who went through that, could comment on the type of demand/success rate that was seen for these games?
US Soccer probably has billions of new accounts that they need to email to try to get them to pay up for premium and will take hours if not days to send the emails
The minimum number of ticket request for the USA soccer insider draw is two per match. If I only need one ticket and the ballot is successful, can I sell one and keep the other? Anyone knows?
It wasnt stated that you cant transfer this round of tockets.. or at least I didnt see that. You should be good to go. I do wonder if they'll reject tix if you are already at your max.
Price increase coming for FCFS. Here's US Soccers pricing table for the current offering. endlessninjafury breaks it down here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1n7LgoxxJEQPNA7Zqdu8Ds4EfwbdWzvKpJRNLN7Oj9Ys/htmlview
We all assume it will kick out if you are already at your 4 max.. but honestly not sure and no one knows. Doesn't hurt to apply and see. Won't impact your current 4 tix.
There was fine print on the application page saying that your purchase could be canceled at FIFA's discretion if you go past the limits. Looks like USSF isn't gong to check before the draw.
Ridiculous prices for 'decent' group games in those charts. Everything creeps up more and more and more each sales phase. But then you'll have fifa spruiking how 'affordable' some games are now. Great.... the Algeria v Jordan game is now selling at $170 from $200 type of verbal shite. If they use this pricing model for next WC then it'll be time to bail out I reckon.
Apparently there is no shortage of stupidly rich people willing to pay anything for soccer... As a European even if can afford it I just won't splash out that amount of money for a group stage as it is insulting. I attended the Fifa world club thing last year and I wasn't impressed with the USA venues, some were piss poor and old and most seats had shit views (Philadelphia anyone...), others just lacked that magic atmosphere that you can find in most stadia in Europe. Now I don't recall exactly how much they charged me for a shit can of industrial beer inside the venue but I think it was 16 dollars...which was ludicrous for something that cost 1 euro in a supermarket here Don't get me started on the coffee price and the insulting screen asking for 20% tip in a take away place ffs...You gotta tip people just for doing nothing these days. But I can't blame them, we live in a capital market world after all, everyone has the right to make as much money as possible if the demand is there. But sooner or later something gotta give
I'd like to know this also. Waiting for someone to actually try to get some validated info and not just someone's guess. The way it's set up we input our email address but we don't log in, so there's no way to get a warning before hitting the submit button. And the FAQs say: Match selections and ticket quantities cannot be edited once submitted, so we encourage fans to thoroughly review their application before submitting. That's their emphasis on "cannot be edited". I got conditional knockout tickets in the PMA draw so don't want to waste some of my available choices on games that I'm restricted from getting. So for example the R32 which has 16 matches played across 6 days. The US could end up in any one of 5 of those matches played on 4 of the 6 R32 matchdays. If someone has a Conditional USA R32, will they be blocked from getting selected for other R32 matches on those 4 days? It's worse for the QF where the US could play on any of the 3 QF days so if someone had a US conditional QF they'd be blocked from any of the 4 QFs. Would be nice to know before I hit "submit"!
I know it can be difficult for those traveling from overseas, but my strong advice on tickets is to be patient. I have several upper-middle class friends who've attended matches in Brazil, Russia, and Qatar and even they believe the current prices for most matches are inflated. I continue to believe people are greatly underrating the impact of early weekday afternoon matches. Even a strong match-up like Argentina-Austria - it's in a huge stadium and there's a limit on the number of people willing/able to attend a noon Monday kickoff. I expect many people will take a long lunch break at their local sports bar and spend <$50 on food/drink instead of paying $500+ for the ticket/transportation & using a day of vacation. Matches are priced for ideal scenarios. It's possible Messi/Ronaldo miss a match due to injury or rest. Or the weather is crap. It's been covered here, but I also believe people are underrating the location of the stadiums (at least in USA). Cities like Chicago or Denver would have made for easy attendance (walkable or easy bus/metro/Uber, dense & vibrant area nearby) and thus more late buyers & fewer late sellers. But Seattle is the only stadium truly on that level, could possibly make the case for a couple others like Atlanta. Anyways, the point is Boston, San Francisco, and honestly most require a decent amount of hassle that locals will simply opt out of dealing. It's one thing to attend a weekend NFL match with a big parking lot for tailgating, quite different to deal with weekday traffic & limited parking. Sure, it's possible a handful of matches end up being 10% more than currently prices, but that will be more than outweighed by the large number that drop 30+% or event 50+%. That said, there are some things to be super excited about. Americans are generally very friendly and eager to chat. If you wear your team's jersey in the airport or walking in town, you will definitely have fun & interesting conversations with people from all kinds of backgrounds, and possibly find yourself invited to tag along to some event/party. I've been to Euro tournaments & several Champions League matches, and while the Spain/Portugal/Morocco WC will have many advantages, the amount of random conversations/invites I've had is much more limited in my experience.
I have a strong feling match 71 will be exactly what you wrote, boring game where half of the players will get their rest including cr7, james, bruno etc ... and it is currently the most expensive secondary market ticket apart from signature games such as opening or the final
I'm not sure, I think important to win that group given possible paths. 2nd place will probably meet England/Croatia then Spain.
Welp no email from US Soccer for the insiders sale. I'm dropping my circle membership. They don't answer support emails, can't do anything right. Where is our money going? For those that did receive emails, can you tell us what the subject line and sender is to make sure it's not going to spam?
I sent support an email and they replied with the application link. It's a generic, non-unique link - they do the matching based on the email address you enter. Don't know if I'm allowed to post the link directly in here but you should be able to find it via a quick web search.
You can click the link on their website to apply. The entry is just using your email address from your US Soccer membership.
