Have you seen the ticket prices on extern resale platforms decrease/increase? What is your opinion on that? Do you think that the prices will decrease when the fifa resale portal is opened again? I have read in forums that the only tickets available now for the fcfs phase will be for low demand matches
I think prices will decrease for many (most?) games. That is one reason I'm hesitant, to the point of probably not trying for tickets in the US soccer draw. If it was still fall and I was arranging a big trip dependent on going to games, I'd still bid. But at this point, I'm depending on finding cheap domestic flights or driving, and a cheap, probably suburban or distant hotel. Thus, why let FOMO dictate me bidding at this stage? Having said that, a US or England game in the knockout stage still temps me so I may bid for those games if they are an option (I'd bid on the assumption, admittedly could be faulty, that they win their groups). For what it's worth, that is my current thinking. I hope people who have bought tickets already have a great time. I also empathize with those who are sick of FIFA and USA and figure they'll skip things at this point.
This. FIFA is doing everything possible to dampen my excitement about this tournament. Given my age and mobility limitations, this is the last World Cup I'll be able to attend in person. So I'll be there, even for the mediocre Bay Area matches. I'm sure I've overpaid for my tickets, and I'm okay with that, but the way FIFA is treating fans of the game is leaving me cold.
I hope so. But from what i read in forums the fcfs phase will not have tickets available for most of the matches. So i guess the high prices will stay after the fcfs until the resellers are desperate. But i think the majority of the tickets were already sold (besides low demand matches)
Info later today. I did notice that they're adding on an additional 10% processing upcharge for this round Your Insiders tier on March 14 at 11:59pm is the tier that will be recognized for the Insiders ticket draw. If you believe your membership start date or tier is incorrect, please submit an inquiry here. We will ensure membership dates and tiers are accurate before the application closes. Insiders may select two (2) or four (4) tickets for their desired matches, selecting one ticket category (Category 1, 2, or 3) per match. The ticket application form will be open from March 9 to March 14. If selected, Selected Applicants winners will receive a purchase link to complete their order at the end of March. Exact seat locations cannot be selected, as seating within each category is assigned at the time of ticketing. Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee selection. Ticket prices reflect FIFA’s base price plus a 10% processing upcharge.
10% uncharge? They could have disclosed how big the allocation is. But instead they increase the money grab.
I did end up seeing the 10% upcharge nugget of information. They also clearly state now it's a per match draw - logical, I know, but they hadn't spelled it out clearly before (and I hadn't been part of any of the previous US Soccer draws, where apparently this was the case): Does applying for more matches affect my odds for any individual match? No. Each match draw is conducted independently, so applying for multiple matches does not affect your chances for any single match.
this is a joke, you pay to have a chance like in the other draws and the allocation is smaller i guess.
US Soccer email arrived for me at 430pm CST. Quick question - my FIFA account US QF conditional ticket. Will that impede my ability to buy any of the QF games? I assume yes.
Can't decide if it's worth it to pay for a separate premium account to apply for QF games... could be waste of $45
This seems like more than a 10% service fee upcharge. CAT1 for Brazil vs Morocco was $700 during the RSD.
Either FIFA increased final prices again or USSF is trying to pull a fast one here, because previously CAT1 was 8680, which should come out to $9548 with the 10% surcharge. M4 was 2735 * 1.1 = 3008.50, which is what they have listed here. So seems some games have indeed gone up. edit: in fact seems like almost everything has gone up?
Ojh wow someone's greasing someone's palms here, can you guess who is doing the greasing and who's receiving it?!
Just when you thought you could not be even more disappointed in FIFA, this happens. Although, what else were we expecting? Prices WILL continue to increase for the highly desirable games. If anything, this is probably the pricing we can expect to see for the games in April.
