I would probably have flights already and triple hotel reservations per city. Tickets will land on your lap at a good price. trust the process.
Sorry if already posted: LA official public transportation details. $1.75 each way.. (quite a deal to be honest). https://www.metro.net/riding/world-cup/
Yes it varies per host city. Every host city is different. Some provide more than others, but out of the ones that aren't free, $1.75 is cheap. The one thing I'd add with LA is that that link above doesn't also show the other shuttle buses (ie. Other than from transit centre) available between certain metro stops as clearly as they did on Instagram but this is explained on https://thesource.metro.net/metro-t...m-multiple-locations-in-the-los-angeles-area/ but I expect some of the further out ones you can get stuck in traffic during rush hour.
Payment will be required in Kansas City. https://kansascityfwc26.com/getting-around-kc/ Pretty sure it will be too in Dallas/FW and trains/buses won’t be free in Boston, NY/NJ, etc etc.
Interesting point you make. My first whole world cup was 2010 and my flights were booked the September before. I have no trans-Atlantic flights booked because I dont know what country I am flying to and wont know until next month. As an aside, I recall around a year ago getting into an exchange on here about the tardiness on ticket details and people saying I was unreasonable wanting clarity so early. Plainly I was exchanging with astroturfers. Notice how quiet this forum is when no tickets are officially on sale. Could do with a purge of some of the accounts on here. (Start with anyone who uses the term 'FOMO').
An astroturfer is someone who posts to make an opinion look more popular than it actually is. The link below is gives a good explanation. I noticed it during the sales for Euro 24. A certain person sounded like he actually worked for UEFA. And there are people on here who sound like FIFA plants or do a very bad job of hiding the fact they are touts. Astroturfing - Wikipedia
I don't know if anyone has bought Amtrak train tickets but I bought a couple from NY to Philli at bloody ludicrous prices which have now come down twice in the last week to almost acceptable. So worth checking.
Reached out to someone on a Facebook group that’s all about resale, trading of tickets etc. guy claimed to have the tickets I was looking for. Three matches. Two tickets each. All tickets were category 2 in the group stages. All games in NYC as well. He was selling each individual ticket for no less than $1500USD. If I’m not mistaken the higher end Cat 2’s are priced around $600-$700USD…dude was basically asking $3K per match. I truly hope no one buys into that level of BS from touts. I’ve been to the last two world cups and tickets will come eventually. No need to give in to such atrocities. Hold the line and wait for April.
there will be more than enough tickets this time as well, the only problem is that for the first time ever even paying the FV hurts. buying from touts will be reserved for those with very deep pockets only, for vast majority it simply won’t be an option
FIFA and UEFA follow these boards for sure but they do not care too much about us, the only thing they care about is to sell their tickets…. but if there is a hack or trick posted here that might expose their website, they close it pretty fast. but if they have their “astroturfers” on bigsoccer … honestly I don’t believe in that. why should they?
I do hope you're right. I'm in 5 cities for 6 games in 12 days . Accomodation and flights booked. I ain't paying current offered prices via FIFA resale and StubHub. I can't see the tickets and categories I want being available next month. The invitation sales was a joke. Couldn't get a single ticket
Flights... yes World Cup tickets... no, at least not in my many years of attending world cups. Imagine the mess it would create at the gate...! And FIFA is about filling up the stadium, I don't think they care who's actually going to be in the stadium
Just curious... you can walk from the Car Rental Center in LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) to SoFi stadium and it will take you about 50mn. Is there any other World Cup city where the stadium is walkable (under an hour) from the main airport, irrespective of the weather conditions?
Do we think this has any credibility? 🚨 Breaking: There are now rumours circulating that FIFA is considering suspending the 2026 World Cup.This would be one of the most shocking decisions in football history. Billions invested, nations preparing, qualifiers underway… and the entire tournament is cancelled. 🌍⚽️🤯 pic.twitter.com/IGL6eBe81A— Iraq Football Podcast (@IraqFootballPod) March 5, 2026
I don't know if walkable but Frankfurt stadium is relatively close to FRA. Also 974 in Qatar was very close to old airport. Not main airport though.
