When you are struck out for low interest matches, but you see 4 (four) tickets on resale all at the same price (plainly a tout), or tickets in resale that were not previously sold, it doesnt inspire confidence in the ballot. You dont have to be a tin foil hat person to recognise major problems.
Screen hogging is not good for your health, yet it's strangely one of the most enjoyable aspects of tournament planning. The 'hit' you receive when scoring a ticket to a previously super elusive match is not to be underestimated. There is also a great sense of achievement in actually making it to a World Cup finals despite all the barriers FIFA etc place in your way.
I would rate one of the greatest moments of my life was when 'screen hogging' for several hours on the ticket portal back in 2022 during the first fcfs I miraculously carted 2xcat 3's for the final. No one had anticipated they would drop but for around 30 seconds they were there and I basically won the fifa powerball. Don't know what possessed me to scroll down to the final at that particular moment in time. Was meant to be. Still get chills thinking about it. A WC final was just something I only dreamed about. Guy seated next to me at the final was another BS regular at the time. We compared notes and he too was lucky enough to cart tickets the exact time I did.
I hope fifa does it like last time where they had 3 "mini-drops" throughout the day almost every day and it was always at the exact same time, that's how I managed to get Saudi vs Arg in 2022
That would be great but I wonder if they will... because in the past, they were intent on being the first and only sale for profit. So trickling tickets helped distribute more fairly... Now, the more people who can't get tickets initially, the more perceived demand and more resale profits. I still doubt they'll dump everything available at once but I wonder if they'll be less likely to slowly release small batches...
That one random day they dropped all the Qatar sponsor returns on the portal and I ended up with all the tough group stage games (3x Arg etc) was fantastic.
That order represents the (purely anecdotal) times I have screwed by various companies, from least to most. Gametime is the only one where I have seen them actually give a replacement for very mispriced tickets instead of giving a refund (which is obviously a big compliment when it comes to these types of tickets where most people will be travelling extensively). But again mega disclaimer that YMMV if you're dealing with any third party. I know people who bought on VividSeats and already have their tickets; I am also sure there will be many stories of people who buy on there and get offered a refund at the gate when the tickets never appear. Ditto with all the other ones... I would absolutely trust the Capital One Portal itself in this situation though since it would be insanely bad PR for a credit card company to offer paid customers fradulent tickets.
Anyone know if an account that has 2 tickets same cat, transfers them to another account that already has 4 tickets same cat for the exact game. Will FIFA seat them together? It's M66 they were bought in separate phases so can't link them together
Pretty sure an individual account and household cannot have more than 4 tickets to a single game. Others probably have been through the process but I believe you need to keep them separate but indicate the order numbers for the other accounts to request being seated by each other
USA Supporters 'Seat With' Links. This feature looks to close on the 22nd. Heres a list of file numbers that a large group of us are linking with. Group 1 vs. Paraguay (L.A.) Supporter Standard – link to 3611662 Supporter Value – link to 3611180 Group 2 vs. Australia (Seattle) Supporter Standard – link to 3611662 Supporter Value – link to 3610317 Group 3 vs. TBD (L.A.) Supporter Standard – link to 3611662 Supporter Value – link to 3609734 Rd of 32 Supporter Value – link to 3611180 Rd of 16 Supporter Premium – link to 3720932 Supporter Value – link to 3613288
Iirc someone here mentioned that FIFA changed the 4 tickets per game per account limit, they were purchased in different sales phases so can't be linked together
the purchaser needs to go into their purchase receipt in the ticket portal and link the application number to the other purchase. They have to be the same. Single match, VST or TST. Cant mix
anyone else get Supporter Standard for Korea section for match 28? Lets link apps to get better seats and not get jumped by Korean supporters. lol
Bro that's going to be an unreal experience. Unless you're Mexican...then would suggesting proceeding with your plan.
I've been seeing heaps of Korean PMA's on resale for M28 on FB, wouldn't be surprised if there's only like 200 Koreans and the rest are mexicans lol
I hate all those people.. us real Koreans (at least 15 of us that I know) all failed to get our PMA tickets. I'm shocked I didn't even get Korea vs South Africa PMA tickets
thanks haha. I doubt I'll be able to get tickets to M28. Struggling to even get M2 and M54 right now.
Somewhat, I know we had a big turnout in Germany 2006 (riding the 2002 wave) and Qatar was a bigger turnout since it was closer, but at least several hundred fans usually go, we would've had a bigger turnout if the games were in the US lol. Our friendly vs USMNT was like 90% Koreans/Korean-Americans in the stands. But I think many Koreans are being priced out of this one, sadly. That and not being able to get tickets in the draws. But hopefully me and other Koreans who are still trying to get tickets are successful and have a decent presence in Mexico!
Question to the group about this and linking together. In this particular instance, I have Supporter Value tickets to games 2 and 3. I have no way to add in both of the ticket codes, right so I'd have to choose which game to link to?
You can only put one code per order and it will match to whatever tickets are the same. So you have to select the one that you most want linked.
