Agree. The Coinbase method is definitely superior. Just a word of caution: when first trying to send USDC via Avalanche just do a small, say $1, transfer to make sure it goes to the FC Wallet. I have heard stories of people's money disappearing because they didn't get the steps right.
Do you not have to wait a few days before being able to transfer? That has been my experience with Coinbase unless I am doing it wrong. That part never gets mentioned so it could be my fault.
I've been playing around with FIFA Collect and so far all my transfers Bank to Coinbase to FIFA Collect Wallet have been nearly instantaneous
I think the time taken to move funds into Coinbase varies by country. In the UK it's instant so the end-to-end process to FIFA Collect takes 2-3 mins max.
I found this for US Coinbase customers: Source: https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinba...rchase-or-deposit-take-to-complete?b_id=13521
Yes mate, you'll be alright, if you by any chance have some extra tix for games in Mexico let me know!
I totally agree with @vanvincent's comments and sentiment here. I've sat in CAT3s that were next to CAT1s (just across aisle, identical view of the pitch) and vice versa. It's not quite like an airplane, where almost no one pays the same price and there are different 'CATs' (first class, business, economy plus, economy), and where, depending on when you bought your ticket, you might have paid less or more than the person sitting next to you, or someone in a 'better' or 'worse' seat ... but that's presumably the direction that we're moving here. (I'm assuming there are no equivalents of external ticket touts/scalpers when it comes to airplane tickets, further complicating things, but maybe I'm just naive.)
I sense this is what will happen with FCFS. It looks like this ticket has gone straight to the resale platform as there is no original price. (Also - if you are looking to go to this match, you can be very patient. Anyone who picked up a Cat 1 in the last ballot will take probably take a hit when they resell (they went for $450).
It looks like that but is that what has happened? A bit naughty charging a resale facilitation fee for a ticket that hasn't previously been sold. Is it possible that spare sponsor tickets are sold this way? Might be a little early for those to be sold. Any chance there were unsold tickets in the last round for this match? Maybe at cat 1. Has someone's credit card been declined and they're selling this way? I wouldn't be surprised to see FIFA sell tickets direct through the resale portal. I don't think they should but in a hypothetical knockout match where Argentina, Mexico, USA or Brazil are playing against a team that hasn't sold all their PMA tickets they will.
You are correct. When you initially open a Coinbase account Coinbase puts a hold on transfers for a few days as a cooling off feature.
I was able to get some Argentina group games ( vs. Austria & Jordan) in the BofA presale and now starting to plan my trip to Dallas. Any recs on where to stay? Anyone know where the fan fest will be at? Planning to stay the full week between the games.
I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same issue. I'm unable to pay for my USA PMA allocation because there's a conflict with a match. USA PMA includes M32, but since I had M30 in the same account it's not allowing me to pay. I've transferred M30 to another account and M30 now says: Your ticket is being bought by another user. You cannot change your resale configuration. Does anyone know how long it takes for tickets to completely transfer out of your account?
I am from Dallas , if you want to be near the stadium anywhere in Arlington. But other than the stadium not much to do in Arlington. Also the fan fest, will be at the Fair park in South Dallas, Which is about 30 minutes from the Stadium, going torch downtown Dallas . But Texas live is a really big bar right next to the stadium in Arlington, that one should be just as fun.
Hi all. Im flying in from NZ via Fiji (birthday party) for a middle stint in USA/Mexico. I applied for 6 games a number of times and got nothing/nadda/zip out of the ballots. I wont be paying the silly prices currently on fifa resale. Will leave it till the last minute if I have to , otherwise fan park it will be. My last world cup was Japan 2002 and I went to 12 games incl the Final. Great time there. And not the kings ransom it is today. Anyhoo my flights were all booked after the draw so I have 6 chances to see a game live. I'm in LA for match 59 and 73 on Thu 25 June and Sun 28 June In Houston for match 76 Mon 29 June (Guess ill be doing NASA for the day instead) In Atlanta for Weds 1 July - Match 80 - If England win the group the game will be here Dallas for match 88 Fri 3 July Mexico City for Match 92 Sun 5 July - If England win above R32 then itll be R16 here Obviously (as I'm english) I'll be focussing on those 2 games but fear Ill be priced out. I've got various accomodation options booked for all the days. I just wish there was something similiar to when I was in Tokyo - a hotel for football fans - made friendships there and was great to all meet up after gamnes in various locations. Are there any forums with tips/ ideas/info that aretn offical FIFA accomodations etc Anyways, look forward to posting about all things world cup in next few months.
Transfer was quick for me. Sent transfer and my friend accepted right away, and immediately out of my account.
If you go into the marketplace. Click on the hamburger. Then my tickets. Is it still there with the verbiage “Your ticket is being bought by another user. You cannot change your resale configuration.”?
My transferred tickets are no longer showing up under My Tickets. It seems like your tickets are up for resale, and a buyer has carted them awaiting actually purchase. Hopefully this is not the case since that is not what you wanted to do.
I was at all three, but frustratingly missed out on the Cameroon Serbia game. I had a couple of Cat-4 tickets in my basket twice that morning, but my bloody CC didn't work as the bank was upto some maintenance It was super disappointing, as it was last chance to do 3 games in a day for my wife, who arrived two days prior. For the Por-URU game, we were right at the second row from the top at Lusail 100% agree. The Spain Vs Germany game was super tense for us until the Füllkrug equalizer. That goal really felt like a winner, as getting knocked out on the second game day would have been disastrous. The panic & the disappointment at the CRC game was another thing altogether & worse as we were in the German fan block (with all the Özil shenanigans thrown in). Good call about the USA Italy game in 2006. I couldn't attend that game, but US got lucky to have a game right next to Ramstein. Incredible atmosphere. McBride handled that De Rossi elbow knock like a boss!
It would help if you have someone (or few of your buddies) who aren't travelling, but are actively looking to buy tickets for you on the FIFA site, whilst you are on your travels. Recent tournaments have been a bit distracting from the game, as many fans - me included - are hoping to basket tickets for that next game. During 2022, I tried to purchase tickets for @Cuenca when he was in Doha, prior to my travels. Later he was back home & snagged a couple of Argentina Poland tickets for me, when I was on a taxi ride between stadiums after the Ecuador Senegal game. It would have been far tougher for me to purchase them on my phone whilst on the move. Ahead of the final, we spent each match day just trying to basket tickets and to get our technique & timing right. If we got a ticket, he was travelling for the finals. I wasn't. On the afternoon of the finals, I was able to snag cat-3 tickets for a start and then some cat-4 tickets as well. He saw the game along with some folks on here. A powerful computer and the stable internet connection at home helped a lot. I'd advise that you get some volunteers signed up at home to hunt tickets for you (in case you don't get sorted by the time you kick off your travels).
A sponsor wont be selling tickets now as they still have time to invite clients etc. I used to work for a large Russian company that had tickets to come huge matches, and they were always left to the last minute in case execs wanted to attend. I just don't think the ballot was 100% on the level. Appalling success rates for non-PMA applications, yet for lower interest games, lots of tickets available on the resale - and some of the prices on FIFA Collect....
i doubt it. It just feels that way because you cant find a ticket. But you wont be able to find a ticket if it is in the hands of someone who wont sell for love nor money. Some matches you just wont see, or if you do, it is a miracle. I have been to over 50 World Cup matches over 5 tournaments. In that time I have only seen ONE Mexico match, because their fans wont sell their tickets (fair play to them), and they travel in numbers.
I have an extra ticket to USA v Paraguay. I'm looking to swap it for a ticket to USA v Australia or USA v Euro Playoff C. Please DM me if interested!
