Correct. I have a few spares for that match and have them on FIFA Collect for sale. Yesterday I accepted a bid for $155 for one of my Cat 1 tickets. They cost me $550. Big loss, but I have also had a few wins, so hey - you win some, you lose some. I went deep in M65 before the draw believing it would be a good match - I was wrong - so wrong. LOL. BTW. I bought a lot of tickets because I was buying on behalf of our group of friends, and M65 was going to be part of our itinerary (we were taking a punt). In the end we are all going to M60 in San Francisco instead.
Thanks, but I’m limited to the Bay Area (and one trip to LA) this World Cup. In my younger days I would have made Seattle/Vancouver my base camp and gone to the games there.
Watch Saudia Arabia - Cape Verde be an absolute banger of a game. A 4-4 affair with multiple "plot twists", like Cameroon vs Serbia in Qatar (I know that game ended 3-3 but you catch my drift)
Went to that one, had such high hopes. Outside of the amazing danish 'roligans' pregame party next to the red square, that game sucked. Everyone sat in their seats and slept. Oh and the beer lines were the longest ever. Concessions at the past few WCs have been disastrous but that's another story for another thread.
Does anyone have a pair of M4 Value(USA) tickets they can spare? Or know of anyone willing? I struck out and I dont want regular cat1-4 for that game. Id appreciate it. Do you guys know if these PMA will end up in the resale portal?
This was my first World Cup match , and what a boring game !! The only highlight was me wearing France kit walking towards my seat and the entire section was eyeing me. I was bang in the middle of the Denmark fans on Cat 3 behind the goal.
That game was insanely demanded as well! In the Luzhniki I remember forcing myself to watch it because I had nothing else to do
There were 5823 registered FA+ members ($100 cost) which allowed you to buy tickets. 2000 or 37% did not apply or were weeded out so pool of competing applicants was very low. Everyone I know (around 15) that applied for PMA tickets got something. A few mates even got $60 tickets for the USA game. Absolute jackpot there. Just doing rough estimates the amount of tickets made available is 8% of available seats minus hospitality/VIP etc and not stadium capacity. I think our FA have done a reasonable job here especially after reading on here how some federations deal with their allocations. Our FA will also be running a ticket swap process for those that have spares etc.
Does anyone remember France v Germany in 2014? Of course you don’t. It was the most boring match I attended in 2014, and the most expensive. The more you pay, the higher the expectation is, the greater the disappointment. This is why Cape Verde v Saudi Arabia is going to be the best match of the WC.
Spain v Germany in 2022.. we can go on and on... If you've been at this for a while you know where to spend your money. Portugal v Colombia on MD3 will be a snooze fest. If it was Match Day 1.. Top teams go after each other 100%. But Match day 3? both will be qualified and depending on goal difference group position likely settled. Will they risk injury to top the group? NO! The lower games will be crazy tho. fighting for a 3 spot on goal difference. Dog fights!!!
I have a spare France v Norway ticket $500 face value that I’m looking to swap for a Brazil v Scotland ticket. I have done 2 different swaps in person via this forum for Euro 2024.
I was under the impression that is not a ticket exchange thread. Not pointing my finger at anyone in particular, but if these posts are not stamped out now, it will just become a crazy mess. This thread is hard enough to keep up with as it is, it will become a total shit-show if this continues. The nearer we get to the start of the WC, the worse it will become. I know many are anxious, frustrated, upset, pissed, etc,..because FIFA has turned this into a real pain in the ass compared to previous editions, but this thread has always been a great resource (for both current and past WCs), and I would like it to remain that way. I hope others do too. There is thread for trades here, no? https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/o...value-or-what-you-paid.2137672/#post-43480955
Site went down for a bit huh? Anyways, I noticed that the FIFA resale marketplace cleaned up their UI a little
People keep saying that Portugal - Colombia is going to be a boring 0-0. There is a chance of that happening but the manager of Colombia is most probably going to go for the win in this one. He is not the type to just have his team sit back, relax and eke out a scoreless draw.
We're making it! Also looks like my picture of the new and improved FIFA Marketplace UI didn't make it through initially. Looks like they consolidated all the available tickets at the category level; no more funky multi rows!
I agree, I think he'll likely play it very safe during this game. If Colombia scores early, he'll attempt to defend the 1-0
Let’s look at everything in context. This Colombian team has scored more goals within this World Cup cycle than any other Colombian team in history. Very rarely during qualifying did we sit back and settle for a scoreless draw. There were matches where we attacked and attacked and attacked and our players kept on missing relatively easy chances or sitters but that is way different. Let’s look at the Copa America. Colombia could have just sat back and played for a scoreless draw in their final group stage match against Brasil to win the Group. But no, Colombia were on the front foot and attacked. And at the end should have won the game if it were not for a horrible miss by Santos Borre in front of goal. Let’s now look at the end of Qualifying. Colombia qualified for the World Cup against Bolivia the penultimate match of the tournament. Instead of playing all benchers and just throwing in the towel as most other coaches would do in that Venezuela situation, Lorenzo had his team go out there with most starters in attack. They battled and battled and moved forward and forward even when they were losing. He told his team to push on and fight and score to the point that the team scored 6 goals for the first time ever om qualifying. This was a meaningless game that essentially meant nothing to Colombia. Trust me. Odds are Colombia is going to try and win every game they play in the World Cup. Unless Portugal falls flat on their face in earlier games or something weird like that happens.
Huge improvement, although I still don't like the lack of price transparency. You cart something and it ends up being priced somewhere within the posted range.
Good points. I think Colombia went all out against Venezuela because it’s a derby, the boys needed a psychological boost and the goal difference was gonna be important. I was actually hoping they’d go half easy on the neighbors and give them a chance to make history but instead we obliterated them. I didn’t feel super good about it
I was hoping he would bench everyone just to give them some rest but he did not. He wanted them to continue improving and continue pushing. I just look at how this World Cup sets up. A match in Miami in front of mostly Crazy Colombian fans? There is no way Lorenzo is going to walk out there and feel that energy of the South Florida crowd and vibe and say yup, 0-0 is going to be a great result today. Even if that is all we need to advance. I think he is going to tell them to go out there and score as many goals as they can.
So after banking several hundred million dollars in ticket sales, FIFA could finally afford to hire a decent web page designer
