Meh, selling Cat 1s for way too much money. Only thing close that was interesting was Croatia-Ghana but at $500 a pop, I will watch on tv.
Congrats to those of you who made it into the WF sale! I was one of the unlucky ones unfortunately. Is this THE page for Chase? https://tevnt.com/ChaseSapphire-Visapromotion
Yes, my understanding is the access link on that page will start working around noon ET (although I'll keep refreshing beforehand just to be safe).
Feel free to ask questions here or get some recommendations on your travel plans. We are here to help.
My experience with getting in in past rounds was VERY limited selection at ridiculous prices. Cat2 USA in LA for $1,900. Quarterfinal in Miami for about $500 (not terrible) but would error when I put in the cart. Reseller marketplace is frankly less painful.
Does anyone have an overview at hand of how much tickets cost in the latest round for each category and stage? Can’t find that info, and don’t recall what R16 went for in Cat 2?!
This link was helpful, thx. Turns out my chase CC's are airlines, not saphire. Honestly, I think I'm just not tech savy enough for this. Think I'll go hiking instead! Though I might go to the market place during the knockout rounds and see if I can last minute something in the western half of the USA. I thought I had a rejection from US soccer already, but I'm probably confused. I tried for two games, have two rejections. But I possibly I need to get a 2nd rejection for the round of 32 USA game $60 ticket. I am looking forward to the Colorado Rapids opener in a few weeks. I have my seat already, LOL.
I think this link provides what you're seeking, no idea when I bookmarked it! https://theworldcupguide.com/2026-world-cup-ticket-prices/#phase-3-world-cup-2026-pricing-summary
I'm unable to transfer the WF tickets I just got to a friend. Is there a grace period where they block you from transferring the tickets until the CC is fully clear, or are these WF tickets non-transferrable? Same question for the upcoming Sapphire sale, if they're not transferrable then I don't want to buy for family/friends.
Perfect, exactly what I needed! Many thanks! Now sure how others feel about it, but even though I 100% supported people only reselling at purchase price, given the dynamic pricing I don’t find it unfair if someone got a ticket even cheaper in the first two FCFS phases but now uses the price from the latest draw as asking price. I mean if I had gotten lucky in the draw myself I would have paid the same, except now someone else is making some profit and not FIFA. Still cheaper for me than buying the same ticket on the resale platform. Or how do others think about it?
My guess is you'll be able to transfer them eventually, just maybe not immediately after acquiring them. There is nothing in the sale info to indicate that you can't (that I could find) and they should otherwise function like any other ticket purchase.
When we're desperate, we'll buy from anyone to save some money but when it comes to taking in the profit doing the same, we're wrong.
Agree, wouldn’t do it myself. I’d only resell at the price I paid… and in the past I refused to buy tickets that didn’t follow the same rule. But given the dynamic pricing I’ve been trying to determine what I consider a fair price when buying, and to me it seems fair to pay the latest lottery’s price even if that person got it for cheaper. - But maybe I’m just rationalizing it to justify buying that ticket I’m being offered right now.
