I do love how the marketing materials for the bank promotions all say "February 10 - 24". Surely what they really mean is "February 10, 12:00 - 12:03".
I got the email, rejected again. I guess no WC games for me this cycle. I guess I can save my money for The Women world cup in Brazil.
Did you end up getting the Venture X promotional e-mail? And I agree with you on how long the inventory will last lol.
Meh, the prices are too high and too much travel to go watch multiple games. Maybe I will just take some time off work and plant my self in some Caribbean beach and watch the games on TV while drinking by the swimming pool.
Real fans are paying the 30% fee as part of the total price of resale ticket. Most of the time that’s more than the face value of the ticket. So FIFA is making double face value for each ticket. Other resale platforms I assume have fees to cover insurance etc since they have to guarantee the tickets. Not justifying the other resale platforms fees, they are extremely high too, but FIFA resale has only platform operational costs, tickets are guaranteed, it owns and controls the transfer. If it was 5% that would have been more acceptable. Ideally a fixed fee per transaction
Do they mail the link to everyone who has a card? My friend has one, so should I check if he received a link, or should he have applied for this promotion ?
For Wells Fargo I understood we simply connect here: https://tevnt.com/WFVisaScoreTickets And at 10 am CET, a window will pop up and we enter the card code for verification and that takes us directly to Fifa inventory ? Is that correct ? I dont see any emailed "link" or personal code ect
it’s only for the new BOA World Cup branded card that came out a couple of months ago - not all BOA cards
its probably going to be a few thousand tickets, and only the first buyers will get the desirable matchups
FIFA reached another level of annoying in the past we mostly did not know that our applications were rejected by the credit card institute or the bank itself so we thought we were not selected, now they rub it in our faces
I understand the frustration with FIFA profiting from these fees, but given the other resale platforms have (even higher) fees, I would have preferred FIFA had higher fees (and a longer delay to pay the seller) in fact reduce the profit and disuade buying and reselling from scalpers. Make it difficult for scalpers... And if you're a fan .just buy what you really need not just to say oh, I'll buy and then I'll resell if needed. Along those lines they should have restricted tickets to 1 or 2 per game (instead of 4) and total of 4/6 (instead of 40). Yes, there may be workarounds for scalpers, but would give us humans a better chance.
Though we never took much notice of it, in the past FIFA used to make a big thing about it had to be the purchaser that got into the games and they could easily sell them before. Now it is positively encouraged for people to buy and sell so easily through the resale site and transatlantic customers are certainly not averse to making a buck on almost anything. The other feature it the truly ridiculous aspect of a maximum of 40 tickets. This is totally unnecessary and stops too many people getting the few they want. In the Visa round me and my wife were both lucky to get the few tickets we wanted and for a friend which meant we could have bought another 72 tickets we did not need!! probably would have made around $30,000+ on those. Absurd and unnecessary and FIFA are really not fit for purpose.
Just got an email from Football Australia that I got 2x $60 tickets for USA v AUS in Seattle! FA did a separate draw for these tickets for any FA+ members that missed out on any matches applied for in the PMA.
Anyone not even get a rejection email? Already checked my status with no tickets, but still no email at this point.
They essentially used to do this. Resale was only valid through them and you couldn't make a profit... But perhaps the most important thing was that initial prices were reasonable. I think we could tolerate expensive resale better if we had a chance at reasonable priced tickets to begin with. Then it would be difficult and frustrating like every other world cup but infinitely better than this where everybody is forced to pay outrageous amounts, just a matter of how outrageous.
