Results for the $60 (well, $88) Canada tickets come out later today.

A bit disappointed that Canada Soccer hasn't released what their actual allocations are for the supporter tickets in general.

 

At least Canada’s acknowledging the 60 dollar tickets exist and making them accessible to fans. Unlike US Soccer and Mexico.

 

From what I gathered from the email last night, all Ao/Sammers/Barra Brava members who submit their apps using the email registered with the supporters group will go into a separate lottery for the $60 tix, if you lose out on that, you'll go to the main lottery for all US Soccer supporters at whatever price level you selected.

 

I didn’t read any of that in the email. Maybe there’s another one out there ?

 

FIFA has recently announced a new $60 ‘Supporters Entry Tier’ ticket category that will be available to Participating Member Associations. U.S. Soccer will allocate these tickets exclusively to members of American Outlaws, Barra76 and Sammers through a private Supporter Group Draw, recognizing the passion and commitment of our most dedicated fans.

As a member of a U.S. Soccer Supporter Group, you will be eligible to apply for tickets to U.S. Men’s National Team matches through both the Supporter Group Ticket Draw and the Insiders Ticket Draw.

Both ticket draw applications will be done through FIFA’s official ticketing platform. By submitting a FIFA ticket application using your unique access code (found below), you will be automatically entered into both ticket draws.

Winners of the Supporter Group ticket draw will be selected first, giving supporters the chance to access the $60 Supporter Entry Tier tickets. Those who do not win, will be entered into their respective Insiders Ticket Draw (Standard draw or Paid draw). Please see the link here for information on the Insiders Ticket draw and weighting.

supporters circle on the official account. I loaded about 200 standard accounts. Those are the emails I was reading. But the main supporters circle email just dropped this morning stating the process for the $60 tickets.

 

Question about this US Supporters draw: As a member of AO, I got the email and figured I'd enter the $60 ticket lottery for a LA game I could conceivably travel to, and the late round conditionals, because why not (I realize actually winning anything Cat4 is a long shot). But as I'm understanding it, there's no way to apply for those $60 tickets without also entering your credit card for a Cat3 or higher regular ticket and risk being charged for that instead by FIFA?

I assume a lot of supporters group members would be in the same boat where they'd probably like to take a shot in the dark application at the $60 seats but the regular Cat3 face value for games for like the LA opener, the conditional Final, etc. are way above their means right now.

 

Yeah, it's a huge commitment. I'm at $7700 all the way to the semis.

 

Which goes to show how stupid this $60 thing is. So FIFA is basically saying: “we want to support loyal fans who can’t afford paying $4,000+ for the final by giving them $60 tickets, provided they can also afford being charged $4,000+ if things don’t work out.”

 

This is why the ESTC asked members to submit ticket requests on the FIFA site by 2nd January so that they can get the data, allocate the $60 tickets and let members know if they were successful or not. If you're not and don't want to pay Cat 3 prices you will have time to go in and cancel those ticket applications. If you make your first application after the 2nd then you won't be considered for the cheaper tickets.

 

Yeah same for Canada tix, that seems to be a USSF issue.

 

If the suspicions are true that it will be a heavy lift for FIFA to maintain the USA-Paraguay get-in price over $1K and actually fill the stadium, this almost feels like it will function as a way to trick a bunch of fans into the $1100 upper corner Cat3 seats

 

Fifa are seeing people buy upper corner cat 3 seats for M1 in Mexico for 3k on the resale market, of course they'll keep trying to sell nosebleeds in Los Angeles for >1k

 

at some point they're going to have to cave. That likely wont happen until late May.

 

Do we see all of the openers dropping in price in May then?

 

M3 market will drop ~50% immediately if Italy doesn't qualify, but if they make it then right now is probably the floor.

 

I'd bet against it, maybe only the US one (maybe) imo

 

I have a similar question. What does anyone think will happen with the 15 or so matches that should have "low" prices throughout this lottery? I am 50/50 at the moment on going to one with a UEFA playoff team. I probably have to get it by the end of the playoffs in case the playoff team is popular, but should it be applied for now or see if it will come cheaper before the end of March?

 

I’m waiting. But I admit it’s a gamble. If I don’t get tickets I’ll go camping instead, save the money for an attempt at a knockout round game. For the record, I live in the USA but not in a host city.

 

I'm with you. I want to apply but not sure if i should wait. I live in the NY area so NJ, Philly, and Boston I'm looking at along with Atlanta.

 

In the Group Stage, i broke down every match into 4 category's

Premium Match: $265 Cat 3
Quality Match : $220 Cat 3
Average Match: $180 Cat 3
Low Match: $140 Cat 3

Price doesn't represent the quality of the fixture as we all know however the number of games in each category are the following:

Premium Match: 18 Games
Quality Match: 12 Games
Average Match: 20 Games
Low Match: 18 Games

I would expect all "Low" Matches would be successful in this phase, as also most "Average" ones as well . From your Quality Matches (NEDvJPN , ENGvGHA etc) upwards, i would think most Cat 2 and 1 applications would be successful, besides the COLvPOR in the Premium or similar

So to answer your question, is if you are looking at EP2 v NED in Houston which is in the "Quality" Match pricing for example, I would maybe see this one stay very similar to the floor and if not drop a little

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think of it as trying to sell out Al Bayt at 12pm, in a place where everyone then has to fly into, it just doesn't seem like the demand will be that high, with both teams supporters having to come from Europe!

Also with people using that days allocation of a match on that Application on a Mexico or Canada match for the higher resale value (Scalpers)
