Now that we have the location of the supporters sections, and on a separate set of maps the hospitality sections, does anybody have maps that overlay these, so we can see what's left for CAT1/2/3/4 for people who bought these? I have CAT 1 tickets to matches in NJ, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Boston and it's starting to feel like these expensive tickets are going to be stuck in the corner.
Has FIFA released the location of the supporters sections in each stadium? I'm looking for Toronto and NJ/NY

A lot of these prices are very wishful thinking..... Nobody is going to be willing to pay $100 for Cat 2 tickets to some of these matches, let alone the $380-400 FIFA is asking. Gonna be a lot of tickets still available for many matches after this phase.
Another potential little wrinkle FIFA have added to try and wring more money out of people. I'm sure previously when you were offered the opportunity to switch categories to try and improve your chances of getting a ticket it was to go up one. Now it's to go down one to encourage you to select a higher, more expensive, category to start with. They really are shameless.
We shall see. There's a lot of people in the USA who want to watch the World Cup no matter what the game is. Even passionate fans whose teams are not participating in it (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, etc.)
I Agree. My favorite viewing area is the corners (or next to corners), level 200. Can see almost everything, without the side-to-side head swivel
And from previous sales phases, the order that categories sold out was generally 4 3 2 1. So most of the time the category switch won’t happen anyway - the lower category will already be sold out
Maybe so. But it's not the actual opening match, and I'm having a hard time seeing why anyone would pay five times more for USA vs Paraguay than they would for USA vs UEFA (Turkey). Both regular group stage matches in LA. M4 tickets were selling at or below face value in the resale portal, so I have to think they eventually abandon the high categories and release some Cat 3/4 to fill the stadium.
Yup M4 market is cooked. Already underwater in RTT as well. I think for a lot of matches the Cat 3 floor in general is relatively safe, but it will be flat from there. Like for example Ghana/Panama in Toronto is (in CAD) 630/530/195. I don't think $195 is far off the floor; you'll have a ton of people in Toronto who want to say that they've attended a World Cup game and this game (along with Senegal/ICP2) will be the cheapest. But I have no idea who is buying Cat 2's at $530. Those will 10000% be going below face or converted into Cat 3's closer to.
that's super odd. I havent received anything yet. Was it a rather long code or something like 6-8 digits you are trying?
I just realized that some teams actually had a price decrease from the first round of sales. Argentina and Colombia both had the TST3 for $900 cat 1 and they're now at $700
I have just learned that there is in fact an opening ceremony not only before Mexico's first match, but also a distinct opening ceremony for both Canada's first match and the USA's first match. So that at least provides some justification for the higher prices for those matches, although I think it's still excessive. I wonder what that opening ceremony will be like and who will be performing... I remember in 94 they had Diana Ross singing and kicking a penalty or something.
Not at these price points..... I'd be willing to pay maybe $50 for a Cat 2 ticket to see Belgium/Egypt here in Seattle.....but certainly not anything close to the $400 FIFA is asking. With these prices, they're basically telling all but the richest and most desperate neutrals to f**k off.....
I attended 15 matches in Qatar and didn’t even start planning my trip until midway through the group stage. So glad I did because this tournament is looking impossible, can’t believe how easy we had last time around.
