If anything, the FCFS sales always include some sponsor returns and whatever part of the 8% federation tickets that the federations couldn’t sell. They likely also hold some back just because of other unknowns.
FIFA's been pushing hospitality tickets from the beginning. Why sell a match ticket for $500 when you can throw in food, drinks & access to an area with high-top tables and charge $1,800? I'm still getting the e-mails. Hopefully not enough people will buy the packages and the tickets will be made available for only slightly ridiculous prices.
If M59 is USA-Turkey (also in LA), that match will have higher demand (and price) than M4 in the end.
The current lowest price on StubHub is $186 for Uzbekistan vs. (maybe) DRC. It makes me happy that this matchup that we joked about weeks ago might actually happen. I will not fly to Atlanta for it, though.
With respect to Canada and Mexico, it’s far too soon to tell if this will be needed. Smaller stadiums and fewer matches tilt the supply-demand scale.in favor of FIFA. Most Canadian fan forums are filled with people unable to acquire any tickets as of yet, and my guess is many will be willing to pay quite a bit for what might be seen as a less desirable match by more seasoned fans. As always, time will tell.
I think prices will be sticky fot this one for a while, but can’t see them increasing. On the other hand, if Canada’s opening match opponent turns out to be Italy, the initial prices for that fixture may end up looking like a bargain.
I agree. I think we're going to see the highly desirable matches get the decent surge here with the lottery. The next level of desirable matches (other than maybe the host ones) will get a bit of an uptick. Then, the matches that just aren't too desirable will stay as is for this lottery hoping people will pay face value where the slide downwards will happen maybe with the next FCFS.
Loving my American Airlines redemption for M28. Gonna try and find XavierBananas for some margaritas If you missed the first round of AA miles for ticket redemptions. They had almost all group stage matches for 40k miles for a Cat 2 ticket (Value of the miles is about $500) Next round of AA redemptions starts on December 17th. Great value if you're sitting on a bunch of miles
I don't have miles but I do have a question, if you don't mind. Did you notice if there an option to buy wheelchair seats with this promo? I ask because I keep running into options for buying seats that seem intriguing but don't offer any accessible seats. E.g., RTB, Hospitality, Verizon, Wells Fargo CC,...
Gents what do we know about US Insiders and CanadaRed Federation tickets? Will they be made available across all categories and will they be priced the same as the public tickets? I know they are lottery-based on membership tiers, but what about pricing?
Do we have a policy? Are we requesting tickets for particular matches on this thread, offering trades? Or is it just a general how the World Cup works thread?
US Soccer has yet to release any details except what you already know, it's a weighted lottery based on membership tiers.
Opens on the 11th. https://www.fifa.com/en/tournaments...n-tickets-sold-third-phase-begins-11-december
I am looking for Venezuela v Hungary tickets in Chicago if anyone has any? I can trade Saudi Arabia v Cape Verde in Houston.
So 6x the price in Qatar. As hard as it would be to miss a final in the unlikely event that England get there, over £3k means I need to have a serious think about paying up front for a conditional ticket. That's on the assumption that Federation tickets are the same, which I'm pessimistically assuming they will be.
Hope for the best but plan for the worst with FIFA. Will probably end up with something like Man City away end with fans spread vertically across 3 levels. I wouldn’t be surprised to see 50%+ Cat 1.
I have no problem with this at all it is only lazy people who look for a totally inaccurate news story from 9 years ago and call it a fait accompli. I am not greatly impressed by the drinking culture in this country but think that has improved somewhat.
