My projected matchups in Canada (italics = confirmed) Toronto M3: Canada vs Euro A (Italy) M21: Ghana vs Panama M33: Curacao vs Ecuador M46: Croatia vs Panama M62: ICP2 (Iraq) vs Senegal M83: 2K (Portugal/Colombia) vs 2L (England/Croatia) Vancouver M6: Australia vs Euro C (Turkey) M27: Canada vs Qatar M40: Egypt vs New Zealand M51: Canada vs Switzerland M64: Iran vs Egypt M84: 1B (Canada/EURO A/Switzerland) vs 3rd place M96: Winner M84 vs likely 1K (Portugal/Colombia) Pretty meh on the whole, although 2K/2L and M96 have some good potential.
This is what we don't know with FIFA. If I was them, I would want Argentina in Kansas City, Dallas, and Dallas to give them an edge to make it as long as possible. But, they might want to sell out tickets as much as possible in SF.
So cheapest ticket on game day resell will probably be Cape Verde- Saudi Arabia. Most expensive ticket is probably Portugal - Colombia. Going to have to take out a business loan for that one.
Group G got a lot of lower demand teams (except Iran maybe) hopefully I won't need to splurge on the remaining group games I want to buy for Seattle/Vancouver. Canada playing Qatar for M27 helps too since I don't have tix for that yet
Portugal/Colombia absolutely screams game that will cost a zillion dollars and then both teams will be on 6 points and throw out the reserves. I think Egypt will have some solid hype with the Salah factor.
In my humble opinion, M40 will be Iran - Belgium due to the political situation between Iran and USA they will most likely move that game to Canada and let Egypt vs New Zealand play in California.
No, it can't. It's Miami or Atlanta. Unless you are talking about each team in there, but not playing each other.
So with the proviso that it's FIFA so anything is possible, I'm assuming England will be playing in Dallas, Boston and New Jersey. Dallas makes a lot of sense for the Croatia game apart from stadium size. Indoors so they can kick off at a nice European friendly time.
Don't disagree with the concept but there's 200k Iranians in the LA area I think they'll figure it out.
The only group RTB I had (I ended up selling them all ) that could have been good was M65 in Houston, which could be Uruguay x Spain. That one will hurt. What are the chances that match gets played in Guadalajara and not Houston? I can make arguments for both.
No clear group of death due to weaker pot 4 teams, but groups I & L will provide some entertainment. Hard to say who will prevail amongst France, Senegal and Norway or England, Croatia and Ghana.
FIFA will want Argentina in Dallas (covered, climate-controlled stadium). Get ready for the crumbs...
No absolute disaster matchups Saudi Arabi vs Cape Verde is pretty bad though ngl. That's the kind of match the touts were fearing they would get for sure. If there's a ticket to seriously drop in value, it's gonna be that one. Not so sure about Jordan vs Algeria either, I'm not from that region but it sounds a bit boring but perhaps there's something there. Everything else seems to have some kind of inherent interest latched to it. Playoffs, ticket holders have to be holding hope for the likes of Italy, Anyone from Path B but Albania, Turkey, Republic of Ireland, DR Congo/Jamaica, and I would say Iraq.
For next phase of draw do you need to put card details in with application and do they charge anything ? Or only charge for successful
As far as I know, YES and YES. What we don't know is if you can change credit card before they charge the original one. What we also don't know is if you'll have a short window if your card does not go through (or you're out without notice)!
Jordan were runner up at AFC , knocked out South Korea in the semis Algeria is kinda like Morocco, i bet the fans will leverage a solid performance vs Germany in WC 2014
