Always hope and optimism for USA. I always remember Spain losing to Chile and Russia and Japan and Morocco
Nothing official, but to be honest you really dont need a portal since there are so many options available from big chain hotels, Airbnb, booking.com.. etc. There is no shortage of lodging options for this WC.
Ok thanks… have to find out what portal to do colombia, then again the federation got caught in russia reselling those tickets at very high prices…
Anyone have any predictions for the stadium path for the pot 1 team in group J? KC - Dallas - Dallas? Or SF - Dallas - KC/Dallas? Would be nice if they'd throw the Bay Area at least one good group game given they're charging the same as NY/LA...but I guess they may go for the short travel between KC/Dallas instead.
I'll take Wales and Austria in Group B. Absolutely no doubt. (Would prefer North Macedonia but like their chances less.) Also happy to see Ukraine if Wales bows out. (Check the friendlies results.) @marianelah nailed it. Forgetting the L.A. Coliseum in 2000, or does your millenium start in 2001? LOL. Yes, agree with your entire post.
"Successful supporters will be notified by 31 January. Supporters who are allocated tickets through the process will have payment processed via FIFA system between 2-23 February, as part of the global payment window" So we'll be notified before the sum is deducted. Good news!
Only 10 my more hours until I start collecting my cheapest* tickets to watch Jordan, Cape Verde, Curacao, Haiti, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and South Africa. Hopefully get cheaper* tickets to Uruguay, Japan (pray ), Austria, Belgium, and Ecuador. World Cup 2026 on a budget baby!
This is very interesting but a VERY sad state of affairs when buying a ticket to an event requires a Financial Advisor. and just further encourages Touts to become an even bigger business.
Got an email from our FA earlier regarding the federation ticket allocation. Basically anyone that recently signed up ($100) for this new FA+ special membership category will get tickets. Reckon there will be a mad rush here after the draw especially if we draw a big name or two. Know quite a few people who are leaving stuff very late. As soon as draw is made I'm booking flights not chasing up tickets as already have them. FA World Cup 26™ Tickets - What Happens Next? Football Australia will receive an allotment of tickets to distribute to FA+ Members for each of Australia's FIFA World Cup 26™ matches, in coordination with FIFA Ticketing. Only FA+ members will be able to apply and access this ticket allocation from Football Australia. On Tuesday 9 December, Football Australia will provide all FA+ members with a full list of dates, processes and FAQs to assist our members to apply for our supporter ticket allocation. Upon the confirmed date, FA+ members will then receive a link and unique access code from Football Australia, via email, to gain entry to the FIFA Ticketing portal. The access code will only be available for one-time use and cannot be shared. FA+ members interested in applying for tickets must register for a FIFA ID using the email address associated with their FA+ membership. Once registered for a FAN ID, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to verify your account. Please note that you must be at least 13 years old to register for a FIFA ID, and at least 18 years old to sign up for a FIFA ticketing account and purchase FIFA World Cup 26™ tickets. The full list of eligibility requirements to apply for FIFA World Cup tickets (Football Australia’s supporter allocation) are listed below. Applicants must: • Be a FA+ Member (minimum 18 years of age requirement) AND • Have a FIFA ID to access the ticket portal (applicants will be prompted to sign in or register when first accessing the FIFA ticket portal) The application process is NOT first-come, first-served and FA+ members can apply at any point during the application window, provided they have received an Access Code from Football Australia. The application process will open at 3:00am (AEDT) on Friday 12 December and close at 3:00am (AEDT) on Wednesday 14 January, 2026
If you have the membership, you don't get the tickets guaranteed! there's an internal ballot after you submit the application on 13th January with the access code. This is how it is for everyone. It can be different for Australian FA, guaranteed tickets only if they have very few members. Do you think that is the case with Aussie FA?
This new FA+ fan category was introduced a few months ago by our federation. It's basically an upgrade on the normal free FA fan membership, for which there are many 000's including pretty much every junior player in the country. Introduced to for those that were serious about WC tickets and of course a bit of a cash grab. Of course you're going to fork out $100 to be pretty much guaranteed tickets. There hasn't been a massive uptake of this upgraded package I believe. If Australia draw let's say an England, Mexico, Argentina etc then it'll probably be an easy back-door way of getting a ticket.... Only 2 tickets per match allowed to be purchased and not the 4 allowable in the recent fifa sales phases. No mention of ticket categories/prices etc mentioned.
Thanks for the info. I seriously think you dont need to game these types of clubs. FIFA will set the prices at the margin, so the issue is, are you willing to pay those prices. I think there are some people who think that the various FAs will have tickets cheaper than the general ballot, but I dont. They will be priced based upon the matchup.
there is quite a difference between associations, can't remember it being that different in the past and quite a few are yet to publish any information, probably waiting after the draw
I believe fewer members can lead to easy allocation. NZ is offering 4 tickets per person per match but there'll be huge demand and internal ballot in January. Most Federations have mentioned that a new membership could only apply before 5 or 7th Dec to be included in the Draw.
So basically the same info, dates across different PMA aside from So excited but then so nervous. Hope everyone gets the sort of draw they desire in whatever part of the continent they wish to be in!
I am very nervous and exited. Good luck; and if you land in the west coast we can have a beer or two.
I'm not going to watch the draw or the schedule show tomorrow, but I am very excited to see the groups for the matches where I have tickets. This is the feeling we'll miss if everyone starts doing tickets after the draw going forward!
