Think the only initial surprise is how well Atlanta tickets have gone as they were very easy in the VISA stage.

I was playing with the inspection tool for my application. Does anyone know if this means my application was tossed or it's just part of the SQL code?

Neither :) This is just the “minified” JavaScript, it is just what runs on the browser when you load the page (if user is in this state, show this, otherwise show this). Doesn’t indicate anything about your application status.

I have been to a good few Euros and world cups I find it totally mad and hilarious that people would pay these prices for a game of football.
The final I saw someone mention 13.5k for 4 tickets why I mean why would you? I understand the very rich for whom the money means nothing but anyone who works hard for a living and doesn’t earn fortunes this is just plain stupid.
90 mins, think about it 90 mins, and ive nbeen to a few finals, most are shit.
Take your loved ones away for a week on a lovely holiday and watch it on the TV. Ttust me you’ll enjoy the outlay much more :)

Actually, it was $13,800 for 4 Category 3 tickets to the final. I don’t get it either. Nearly $14K for what are basically guaranteed to be the worst seats WAY UP in the corners behind the goal in a huge stadium.

Lol who except for the very rich who want to be seen there, is mad enough to pay such a ridiculous price. :). Im sure they will sell because of the vast population but it is utter madness and a total waste of money. :)

It appears to still be available at Cat 2. I didn't try to cart anything though.

I bought Cat 3 seats for a R16 match. I know they are going to be probably bad seats, but haven't really been to Philly and felt like I should go to one knockout match. That was pretty much the most I was willing to pay for an individual match at this WC and probably will be the last match I buy for this.

I definitely have paid more at the Euros and at the Winter Olympics for a ticket than this R16 match, but they were/are better seats. Some of these costs for seat categories and then you see the seat locations in the stadium really shows how blood sucking FIFA is. I personally can't imagine paying $1,000+ per ticket and then see that I am way up at the top or, at the very least, nowhere near the field like Cat 1 could still be but to each their own and their own financial situations.

At these prices, you have to be crazy to buy tickets for any match prior to the draw.

The prices for a LOT of matches are going to drop like a rock once the draw is made....

this is what I’m worried about… do I sell my category threes in Toronto for FV (or at least to cover the 10% fee or whatever it is), or do I risk it and wait to see who it is after the draw? or do I just accept that I’m seeing a World Cup game at my home stadium

I bought 4 CAT1 games ( 2 tix each game) in SFBA. Will it be a luck thing to end up sitting in lower rows? The lower bowl ( CAT1) a broad area, I could end up all the way on the top row or maybe on the first row?

Just consider yourself lucky that you got any tickets at all.....the vast majority of fans (like me) have gotten shut out of both lotteries so far. I live in a host city (Seattle), and at this point am just going to wait until after the draw and by tickets for the exact matches I want on the secondary market.

Given how broadly FIFA have defined Cat 1 and Cat 2 tickets, there are going to be a lot of people who will end up paying ridiculous prices for lousy tickets to lousy matchups.

There are some Cat 1 tickets for the matches at Lumen Field that would have been Cat 3/4 at previous World Cups.

2015 Super Bowl in Phoenix would up being close to $10K each just to get into the stadium (a lot of that had to do with the ticket market being shorted by speculators, but there will still regular fans outside the stadium willing to drop that kind of cash)

Food for thought, the latest prices, as well as RTB prices, are out of whack, and I hear not selling out (although some alotments may have for very specific matches, e.g. mexico, semifinal, final), but having not been able to see for myself, since I didn't win a slot, and I have to wait til next week to convert RTBs - I can't say for sure. But I've seen the google sheet with the latest prices, and if they aren't selling out at these prices, they've exhausted buyers pre-draw. For the majority of matches, you are overpaying now.

Part of buying now is to get logistics sorted and for the hope to get a big match you don't have to fight for since I refuse to travel around with this to follow one team. I have two GS matches and I will have overpaid if they both are the equivalent of Cape Verde vs. Austria (as an example and no offense about either), but if they both are the equivalent of Argentina-Italy, let's say, I'm not getting them at the price I paid due to the BS dynamic pricing.

I will say for the last Euros, there were Cat 1 seats I was thrilled about when I got to my seat and some that could have been better. It's just luck of the draw and not all were in a lower bowl.

    Why?

The draw is going to reveal that there are going to be a LOT of bad group stage matchups......even a lot of the R32 matchups are going to suck.
