I went back in again and now I am in the queue with the ball clock thing update: 26 mins until I'm in apparently
The seeded European teams are overwhelmingly likely to play at 12/3pm ET. Extend that also to matches featuring lower pot major European teams like Germany and Italy. The large indoor stadiums in Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston will help mitigate the risk of extreme afternoon heat. They’re not going to schedule England, Spain, France, Portugal at 3am Central European time every night. And when there are fewer matches per day (group stage matchday 3 and knockouts), they’ll be between 12-6pm ET. This is the time window that works best for the biggest chunk of the world (remember Brazil 2014). Only bad for those east of Dubai and west of Hawaii. There’s a reason the opening match and final are both at 3pm ET.
I wouldn't assume all of the seeded teams will be in the late slots. They'll want the seeded European teams at 12/3 because that's good for European TV. Also I'll be interested to see if there's a bias toward ATL/Dallas/Houston in early slots to avoid hot daytime weather.
They had restocked some individual games for this round. Canada games were previously sold out, but I was able to snag 4 for each match in Vancouver
you're probably correct. this was more of a way for people to see what the options were. Sometimes it will be very obvious what game will go where.
Prices did go up a bit since last window, my Cat3 TST3 for Canada was $2,025 instead of $1,755 last time. M3 went up to $1,385 for Cat3 (laughable really) Nonetheless I will be taking a short train and walking from my house for the 'opening' match of a World Cup which is unreal.
Pretty darn cool huh. That's the thing about this WC for us host countries, seeing your team (and in your case walking to the stadium) at the WC is really special. The build up to your opening game is going to be electric. Enjoy every second. I'm beyond excited.
There were a handful of singles matches added. Not sure for other venues, but it appeared that all Vancouver matches initially had availability when they were all previously sold out. Still fairly slim pickings across the board...
So I was able to get tickets for the round of 32 in LA on Monday (4 tickets each), but couldn't for the quarter final. Had another window from another user this morning. I was able to get 2 tickets for the quarter final, along 4 more tickets for each of the round of 32 in LA along round of 32 in San Jose (which I intend to give to friends and family). So FIFA DO release new tickets for each time slot window, so everyone who still hasn't received their email, don't give up!
Some takeaways from my first kick at the can for tickets this world cup: 1. If you are selected and have to queue, load up multiple browsers, some with the ticketing site link from your email, as well as others with the general link https://fifa-fwc26-us.tickets.fifa.com/account. Try a combination of some browsers with your account previously logged in as well as others not logged in. Might not hurt to have one with a cleared cache. 2. With the link open on multiple browsers, you will be placed into the queue at different times. This is important as sometimes the initial "entry" button that appears does not connect you to the site and you get placed at the back of the queue, as you will then have another account further ahead in the queue. This is also useful if you want to finalize a purchase before the site times out and bounces you. You can then complete a single purchase and know that you will re-enter the queue shortly from another browser. 3. When/if you get the time out warning, rather than clicking on the button that appears you can simply refresh the page and you will remain in the portal. 4. If tickets sell out for a match that shows limited availability, you can remain on the page for the match and continue to try to cart tickets. There are likely a number of people with tickets in their cart who may not want them or may lose them when the page times out. If you continue to refresh and add you may be able to nab these tickets if they become available. I was able to make this work for a match that appeared to sell out.
Hard to say. Some categories went from "Unavailable" to "Available" during the initial frenzy, but this could be due to some people having tickets in their cart and getting bounced after which the tickets in their cart were released.
FIFA are increasing the prices to games to create a "BuY nOw beForE PriCeS Go UP!" FOMO. They know damn well that when these groups come out most matches will plumet in price. But they will have their $ by then. Pretty brutal Same shadiness they did and are doing with Right-To-Buys. They don't care lol
Yeah I'm staying away from LA games this sale. Even USA TST. M4 was on my plans, it will have to wait for now.
I think you are mistaken. I entered 2 minutes after the slot started and M3 did not exist for Cat3. Only wheelchair categories.
