Aiming for Brazil’s matches and easier access to tickets, I have been thinking that the best draw options for Brazil would be Group F or J, as I believe that 2 of the 3 group stage games would be in Dallas, where there is a big stadium and less tourist appeal than LA, NY, and San Francisco. Does what I’m thinking make sense?
You are taking me too literal today @marianelah ! its my 7th day without a slot, let me have some fun since I can't use my time looking at the ticket portal
F would be the dream for any seeded team follower. I would be stunned if the seeded team doesn't get Dallas-Houston-Dallas which is a fantastic group stage and drivable. G, H, I, J will all likely have the seeded team with 2 straight games in the same city, so not bad at all. K could, depending if they put the seeded team in Mexico City for the first game or not. C and L are the only two groups that won't give the seeded team back to back games in the same city
It is difficult to know whether they tried to fix the 1982 draw as they made such a complete pudding of it.
Gaston Edul an Argentinian reporter from TyC, mentioned yesterday that FIFA might assign teams to certain groups/ city pairs to optimize attendance. He hinted that Argentina would be assigned to groups in the east coast. Miami/ Atlanta/ NYC/ Boston where there is a large Argentinian population.
Meanwhile, you can buy a ticket for upcoming Colts at Chargers, SOFI stadium, in nosebleed seat via a third party website for $27
Argentina is the last team that they will give special treatment to. If FIFA rigs a draw, they are putting them in F or J so they get 2 matches in Dallas which can be expanded to the largest. Maximize profit. Argentina is selling out regardless.
M2 in Ekaterimbug Arena! I remember that game appeared as 'sold out' on the FIFA portal but stadium was MAYBE at 50% capacity and got a lot of international criticism, more than deserved. Same thing happened with a lot of matches in Qatar that appeared sold out but were definitely not, especially the early noon games at Al Janoub where they were giving tickets away for almost every game there that day.
the minute the published the schedule I thought they would place Argentina in group C. I still believe that.
I know a LOT of people here in Mexico who like football and would genuinely love to go to the stadiums but didn't even apply because they still think tickets are >2k USD for any game
I was transferred 4x2 tickets about 2 days ago, I was able to accept them and can see them on my account, I just have to get in through the resale portal -> my tickets
They literally don't believe me when I tell them they could get tickets for the games here for 100-200 usd. I was 100% serious with them when explaining how to apply and what tickets usually cost for Mexico games and they just didn't believe me lol, bad reporting and fake news do that to people and mexicans are sadly very gullible
This tells me the best way to resale would be to advertise on 3rd party. Negotiate price, then just use the Transfer feature. This backdoors FIFAs marketplace and fees. Right?
How do you get to the transfer portal? I seem to be only able to navigate to the resale portal. Also, am I correct in assuming you need the other persons FIFA account info to make a transfer?
This only works if both parties know and trust each other. Otherwise, people will inevitably get scammed.
