Also round of 32 for Los Angeles on June 28th is $795 Cat 4. Lowest I’ve seen yet. The touts are realizing they can’t sell at these ridiculous prices.
We havent seen anywhere to link tickets or if they will even it do it. Qatar was the 1st time they did, hope they do it again but we dont know if/when they will.
In Qatar we all had our Hayya Cards and I remember they would scan those along with our tickets for the match. But they wouldn’t even care if the name matched. Have we heard of anything similar for this World Cup? Or will only a match ticket be needed?
No there is..when i paid my order there was a place to link it to another order. I cant find the same page now.
Nothing. I'll bet on it that this is like any US event, just scan your ticket when you get to stadium security. No visa/id/passport, no checks vs the name on the ticket. Just as long as the barcode reader scans it then good to go.
It would be an absolute nightmare trying to get 80,000 people through the doors with thorough ID checks. I can't see it happening.
Even more interesting is that Cat 2 tickets are selling for $879 (FIFA price $500). Cat 4 tickets are priced at $125 but no one in their right mind would want to pay more than that for seats at the top corner of the stadium, basking in the sun and/or wind and where you can't read the number of the back of the players... For comparison, the round of 32 game in SFO M81 is reselling for $800 Cat 2, even lower than LA and that game could very well have the USA team playing... but I guess not many people are giving the US a mere chance of finishing first in their group...
I've never ever seen name checks in any World Cup I've attended, and I remember my tickets for WC98 had my name on it. That would slow down the entry process to a crawl and that's the last thing FIFA wants to see happen. Remember they're after the money, and that ticket was paid, maybe even twice, so they couldn't care less who has the ticket in their hands at the game. I say "twice" because if that ticket was purchased $300 original price and it was sold on the resale platform at $1000, FIFA fee being 30%, they would have made another $300 on the ticket...
I “won” for Thursday’s slot. I believe the current slot is still open? If so, could someone please check if there are any wheelchair seats for matches in San Francisco (cat 1). Also M73 in LA. Just trying to set my expectations…
FYI - I did a rough calculation and about 88% of the seats at SoFi Stadium (or Los Angeles Stadium since we don't want to commercialize this sacred event) are Cat 1 & 2. About 11% are Cat 3 and less than 1% are Cat 4. FU Fifa!
Thanks! In your post I just see m8 and m20, nothing after that. Also, are there any companion seats available? Or do you pick those later?
Reminder, the visual seat chart is just an example. It isnt a locked in section map assignment. They will be moving alot of things around. But your anger is noted.
There's a FAQ about accessibility tickets and it says you can buy companion tickets as long as the total of accessibility tickets plus companion tickets is 4 or fewer. Unfortunately, it doesn't say, at least not clearly enough for me to understand it, how you buy the companion tickets. It could either be that you buy standard tickets in the same category, and they will combine them because they're all in the same account, or it could be that there's some special opportunity to buy companion tickets after you complete the purchase of the accessibility tickets. https://gpcustomersupportfwc2026.ti...sections/30197376912925-Accessibility-Tickets
Just now, or it's been sitting in your mailbox for a while? Wondering if in the end the rest of us (probably 85% of the applications) will get an email and we'll be fighting for the few Cat 1 tickets left for the least interesting games in the least interesting stadiums...
m52 cat 2 in seattle being sold for a loss for the seller, after the fees. touts are starting to know they screwed up i guess xD
Yep! That's a pretty meaningless game, does not involve Canada who's playing right after (or before) in Vancouver, 140 miles to the North, played at the same time as Mexico who's playing in Mexico City and concurrent to two games from group C, one of them having a Tier 1 team. That's the epitome of "why did I get such an expensive ticket for that game!"
