To answer my question of whether anyone outside of the host nations had received the invitation, I have now got one for Thursday.
Do they have accessibility tickets, and do they come with a complimentary companion this year? Know there was some people who asked of that beforehand
Yes, I saw lots of wheelchair tickets and "wheelchair companion" tickets. I don't think these are complimentary tickets. Just group games for the most part.
Glad to see a lot of public outcry about the prices for this WC, wouldn't be surprised if FIFA reduces the prices for the next sales phase (still much higher than Qatar) and try to come out as the good guys that want to please the fans
If they sell all the VISA period allocation they are not going to reduce prices. The only way that will happen is after the draw when people decide Benin v Kosovo is not such a draw after all. As for FIFA wanting to be seen as the good guys! This boat sailed many years ago.
Finally landed a lottery spot, but I imagine the cupboard is bare. Can anyone tell me if there are any matches remaining in Vancouver?
The fundamental problem here is that the World Cup is being hosted in a wealthy country with a huge population with disposable income. That’s what sets the price and there’s no realistic way FIFA can beat that. The extra money either goes to FIFA or it goes to scalpers. What makes everyone think they’d be the lucky ones getting the cheap tickets? If FIFA sold all the tickets for $50, they’d be gone in minutes and then you’d have to buy on StubHub later for $500 for premium matches. If you want to go to some matches for $50, just don’t buy anything now and wait until FIFA drops the price for low demand matches.
Still no winning lottery for me but looks like the only thing I want (Argentina TST 3) is no longer available Looks like I'll have to watch from home if I can't get them from FIFA as Argentina always sells 3x face value
People that were in slot 2 or 3, do we know if there were restocks during the sales phase? I'm mainly targetting individual matches
There’s still another TST sales phase coming in November. When you say “Argentina sells at 3x face value”, do you mean the Argentina federation sells its tickets to supporters at 3x face value? I thought the supporters tickets still adhere to FIFA’s price categories.
My only question is if you just join at any point before the start time does the queue randomize at the start time (ie 11 EST) or is it advantageous to get in the queue right as its created?
yes, something was restocked but not a lot vst and some tst appeared later and there were quite a few available
Yup, never was available. I got a pre-sale slot for this past Monday and logged in at 8am and they were already not available. They sold out last week and were the only team sold out (even hosts like Mexico and USA were available). All the resellers bought them quick because they know of the Messi demand. It’s the gift and the curse of having the GOAT
