LA Round of 32 (Match 73) is sold out now as well

Looks like everything after Round of 16 has sold out (except third place match). Even R16 is starting to get very limited

USA TST3 (cat 3): $2,100 on the visa presale window today. FYI for context. Obviously opening game premium inflates it.

Out of our regular World Cup attending group (started in 2002), exactly zero who do not live in the States will be coming in 2026. (One might come to watch games in Toronto, depending on the draw.) When we were together in Qatar (even last year), everyone was planning to come.

Outrageously overpriced. $4,200 for a pair of tickets to watch group games in the last few rows of the stadium? Really FIFA?

That’s actually good (within the general context of ticket prices).. right now a ticket to the opening USA game alone would cost you that price, at least with that package you got all 3 games!

Hi guys, sorry if it's already been answered, but is FIFA setting the prices in the resale market? Or are people setting their own prices?

    Damn, that's expensive!

I bought two Seattle VST5 (Cat 3) for CAD 1090 each (~ USD 780 each). This includes game 32 (USA) and a R32. Pretty happy with this.

That’s not right. Cat 3 opening USA game is $1,120. And I am sure that will drop.

The prices are friggin stupid but I'm not the first one to share that ;). I know I'm lucky to have had the chance to buy so I'm content. I live in Vancouver so bought the 4 VST6 Packages Cat 2 at 11k. Ouch. By the way, there is no waiting line for the tickets right now and still VSTs available. Cheapest I saw was a Cat 3 at $195 USD in Kansas City. Everything else started at 430 cdn. There will be other opportunities for sure at these prices,

    No I didn’t say Cat 3. I said what’s available.

Right now if you want to go to that opening LA game, it’s only Cat 1 and 2 available, starting at $1940 and going up to $2735

So yes, it’d be practically the same value if you got a TST3 USA pack than if you were to try to buy a single match 3 ticket right now

Some USMNT supporters have already bought tickets to that match. Not me, who has followed the team for 30+ years, I haven't had the chance yet, but I know others who have. While not likely, it is of course possible that that game in Seattle is USA v Poland. It's also possible that some people in Poland might want to visit relatives in the Pacific Northwest and the possibility of buying a match is what convinces them to come.

And it's possible that some people just really are into the sport, wherever they are from. I saw the hosts play in 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018, and never had a Korean, German, South African, Brazilian or Russian express any related resentment that I saw 'their' team play. In fact, all were gracious hosts, I thought, proud and excited that I was visiting their country.

OK, so demand may be petering out at these prices, even for the diehards and the very limited number of tickets up for sale. FIFA may be setting themselves up for a Club World Cup repeat.

Except that you’d be sitting in the last few rows of the stadium instead of a better location. Apple, meet orange.

You do realize Cat 2 is still nosebleeds all the way at the top, right? They are pretty much the same distance as Cat 3, the only difference is you may be a little more centralized if you’re lucky. Look at the map below: cat 2 is red, cat 3 is blue:

    IMG_7602.jpeg

Regardless the point was that if you tried to buy a USA ticket right now it would cost you about the same as that Cat 3 ticket 3-match package, that’s just a fact. To each their own, but I’d take 3 Cat 3’s over 1 Cat 2 any day, especially when they’re essentially at the same level. I was just letting OP know that in the grand scheme of things, his deal wasn’t at all bad (within context of course)

If you dive deeper, this is why I said the San Francisco Bay Area got the very short end of the stick...
Out of the cities getting only 1 seeded team, Guadalajara still gets Mexico playing at home, same for Toronto with Canada, Atlanta gets a round of 16 and a semi-final, Kansas City gets a quarter-final, and San Francisco gets... nothing, nada, nothing past round of 32, no USA team playing, games within the US group but not the US team, and the only hope are the M20 and M44 from Group J and it's not even a given that the seeded team will play in SFO so the end result could be 0 seeded! No wonder that Cat 3 tickets are already on the resale platform for "only" $600. Maybe FIFA thinks that the Bay Area residents are rich enough to buy $500 tickets and fill a stadium to a game involving third and fourth teams just to take the kids out and spend an afternoon eating hot-dogs in the sun.
I was planning on getting VST for San Francisco but it's really not worth the money.
    End of rant...!

Someone on the discord listed their tickets purchases. It has C1 vs C3.... Etc. looks like which games have seeded teams may be there..

Can anyone with a lot of group stage tickets confirm?

No luck here yet for the presale; if anyone still has access to the portal can you tell if Seattle VSTs are still left? I am local in Seattle and really hope I get to see some games here.

You realize that only about 16.7% of the tickets have been released, right? There will be many more Cat 3 tickets released in the other phases. And prices are likely to drop, especially for that game. Patience is a virtue.

Out of curiosity, where does that 16.7% figure come from?

Our group got its first win. 4 tickets to match 40 Cat 2. We still have a long way to go without 27 or 32. I personally need 27, 75, and 88 if anyone is in and sees those available!

if both this screenshot and https://www.fifacollectanalytics.com/ticket-prices are accurate, fifa increased the prices already for the later rounds.

So there were many predictions before Visa presale that Fifa won't be able to sell tickets. What do you guys think overall? Does it seem ticket sale is indeed going well for them considering there are no many c3/c4s left?
