Arsenal need a 90min goal to win.
Chelsea need rubbish goal keeping for two of their goals.
Liverpool need a goal from a free kick that was never a free kick.
    Man Utd draw.

    All very very close.

If its like this all season who knows how the table might end up......Sunderland top.....

Of the four "contenders" .. I say that Liverpool looked most impressive.. both Chelsea and Man U have lost key players in Terry and Rooney - Pool should take advantage of this now while they can.

The Rooney injury will definetely hurt MUFC but it depends how quickly Tevez starts scoring. Will help Chelsea and Liverpool for the title chase.
Hopefully gives Liverpool a real shot at it, if they can get a good start this year finally.

Yeah, I was impressed with Liverpool. I think Chelsea will be better when they get some players back from injury's. I also don't think that Rooney's injury will affect Man United too much because of having Tevez, Larson, and they will be getting Saha back soon. But if one more striker, or Christiano Ronaldo goes down there in trouble.

Arsenal have prefected the art of scoring late, but also the art of giving some gifts along the way.

Chelsea Wtf?? Jose is full of ****, so much for struggling to find 16 fit players.

Man U unlucky with the Rooney injury but hey im Arsenal so that go down as positive, as for England good luck.

I find the linkage between "it should never have been a free kick" and "stick that fucker into that tiny gap there, 25 yards away" quite amusing.

It was a legit free kick, but just barely, but the result was true beauty.

Why can't Gerrard carry that form into international play? Great strike, that might have been the goal of the year on the first day.

I'd rather he kept that form for Liverpool, thanks. Who gives a shit about the international play?

Cause McLaren doesn't know what he's doing and can't play Gerrard properly.

I repeat, who gives a fuck? We already know England will get knocked out on penalties in the quarter finals, so what does it matter whether Gerrard is even there, let alone playing well.

His form for club is much more important.

U might say that, others won't, they couldn't give a **** what Gerrard does for Liverpool, England need to win something in next few years.

Do they? Why - have they signed some sort of contract with God? Will he smite, oh smite, them down?

Hey, I'd find a successful England tournament as diverting as the next chap, but the only place where Gerrard's form is of relevance is in the Red of Liverpool. Sod England.

Gerrard never does ******** all for England anyway. Neither does Lampard, or in fact most of the players. In fact the only England player who seems to give a ******** is Beckham, and he was dropped. That just about says it all about the current setup.

International football is no where as competitive or exciting as club. Having said that England has not played to thier potential and the FA is a huge part of that (McClaren). I understand that club loyalties run high, but for crying out loud the three lions represent your country. Aren't you sick of the Italians, French, even the Greeks winning everything?

PS - Most United fans of my acquaintance also don't give a toss about England.

Your club is a thousand times more important. Only Rochdale or Exeter fans think otherwise.

Funny ****,In Premiership your playing same teams over and over each year. England suck because the best players from clubs, are the likes of Gerrard and Lampard, all they do is bang 25+ yard thunderbolts, and expected to do the same with England.

By outside contenders... you are aware that the bookies have them at 500-1 to win it.
