    Mid-October in London.

They're making it awfully hard for us to make travel plans at the last minute, aren't they?

I guess they're at the mercy of whatever Tottenham wants to do, but some of us would like to go see such a game.

No doubt, it's cutting it close but still doable. Fairs to London are pretty good right now.

Here is the Spurs fixture list:
    http://www.spurs.co.uk/fixtures.asp?clid=6&s=0203

They're off on the October 12th-13th weekend, as England's first Euro2004 qualifier is away to Slovakia on the night of the 12th. Might we be playing earlier that day (usual 3:00 kickoff, perhaps)?

That would work out great for me, if it were formalized this week. In fact, if they announce tomorrow that the game is on...I'll buy tickets within minutes. But announce it next week and I'll have already made plans for the weekend of the Columbus holiday.

I would REALLY like to make a trip with my wife (1st Anniversary...went to UK for the honeymoon), but only 3-weeks to arrange the thing is almost too tight. I don't envy the DC United travel people. I bet they are sweating bullets right now trying to pull off any date in October.

Let's hope we hear something definitive soon.

Does Goff really think that Kyle Martino is a contender for Rookie of the Year? Does he think less of Twelman than does Bruce Arena?

Right you checked...Did you really think that one of us wouldn't have posted a link to a story in the paper? Come on, it's not like we are illiterate like fans from other teams! Sheesh...Some people's children... ;)

Don't let it happen again, you wouldn't like me very much if I had to come all the way down to Georgia to read you the riot act of 1998! :)

Twelman is not considered a rookie because he played professionally in Germany for 1860 before returning to the MLS.

A couple of things to note: Some raw dead crustacean mercury fest rates above a United match?

Is it some kind of law that all Oyster Festivals must be World Famous Oyster Festivals? You never see one billed as "Regionally Popular Oyster Festival"

Getting on revelation's bad side is definitely a Bad Thing To Do. I thought I'd be safe here on the left coast- but no! I'm still in pain.

As for point number one; hotel reservations have been made, tickets bought, friends coming up from Atlanta...etc,etc....

Point number two; Uh.....I don't know. Good question. :)

While I'd wait for a formal announcement before putting down the cash, think about being in London on October 17.

Skip, you could probably get back on his good side if you promise to stop using a certain nickname for a certain left-footed, 17 year old midfielder...

Well Goff doesn't print it unless it's a very likely possibility, so I'm guessing that this means Etch will not return for less money, Moreno will be moved, and any offers will be entertained for Williams and Villegas. It seems like a foregone conclusion that Lassiter, Zambrano, and Amman will be cut loose.

I guess this means that we were correct about Eliseo staying, which is good.

I doubt that we'll see all 3 of Lazo, Chino and Namoff returning though. One probably, maybe two.

We got strong confirmation that Tyson Nunez is in Hudson's sights ... good.

Playing Spurs eh? That's very cool, I assume Keller's presence (both literally and figuratively) contributed to this happening. I can think of no better person to give Nick tips than Kasey. I wonder what Spurs will think of our young guns Convey, Santino, Niki and Eliseo?

I hope the Aguilla match isn't chippy. Ditto for the USMNT match against El Salvador. I'd hate to build emnity between the supporters of all of those teams. Hopefully it will serve to bring supporters of all 4 teams together.

Thanks for all of the info Goff!

On the Spurs thing, I thought this grew out of Klinsmann's relationship with AEG, in that several AEG teams were rumored to play several of Klinsmann's former clubs in post-September-11th fundraisers a year ago.

As for Etch, I hope that it's posturing on each side at this point and that they can get it worked out. In a 3-5-2 with Convey & a solid d-mid in the middle, Etch can still lift a cup, I expect.
