I'm a bit surprised that he picked both Columbus and KC to advance. KC has played very good ball. But SJ is a tough place to play which means I expect KC will go into game #2 needing to win and score 2 goals or so. From our perspective (ie: DCU's), I'm not sure who I'd prefer advance. SJ has played us tough--at Spartan. We couldn't possibly see them until the final and Donovan steps up in big games.

As for Columbus, they are great at draws. NE's biggest issues have been injuries and chaos/poor play in central defense. If they (NE) get good play out of Pierce and Johns, I think NE will advance. Which is good for DCU b/c we've played NE well this season and match up well against them.

Actually, I think we match up pretty well with either team. Versus the Crew we wen 1-1-2. Keep in mind one of those ties at the begining of the season really should have been a win. An injury time PK gave Columbus a point when they didn't deserve any. Then we beat them pretty bad 3-1 at home. In Columbus we tied 2-2 and lost 1-0, with the last game one in which we played a man down and lost Jaime early on in the match.

All in all, we played well against Columbus.
