Sorry California Spurs, thought you might be a bit behind and I wanted to get some good thoughts from everyone on our match at Old Trafford. With any silverware welll out of reach this game is more of a moral victory. I would love to see the Spurs take it 2-0 but I'll be happy with a draw.

Should be great to see Keller and Howard out there representing the USA. Man City just took advantage of Manyoo and I think that they are lookign to take out a little agression so it should be tough.

There's blood in the water at ManYoo, they're really vulnerable. But they got beaten so heavily at Man City you'd expect Ferguson to pick his best team and get them terrified to get anything other than 3 points.

I still think we can get something from this, but the lack of fitness of Redknapp and Kanoute, plus Davies not at 100% will make it a steep task.

My ideal starting team (fitness permitting) would be this:

    Keller
    -
    Taricco
    Gardner
    King
    Carr
    -
    Ziege
    Redknapp
    Brown
    Davies
    -
    Keane
    Kanoute

Defoe as a sub in the second half, to use his pace and penalty box poaching. Dalmat looks really lively again, I'm tempted to include him from the start and he's certainly worth a sub appearance.

Those are two way different predictions. 3-0 is a clubbing and 3-2 is a close match. I say it ends 1-1. With Ronaldo chipping home for Manyoo and Defoe scoring for Spurs.

I think it will be 2-1 to ManYoo. Pleat won't set the players out confident enough that they can win. I'm sure the overriding feeling after the game will be that the team could have done better and got a result, but just didn't take the initiative.

That's a good lineup. I think if healthy, we have to find a place for Ziege on the pitch. He's far too dangerous on free kicks to not play him. I liked the spark from Dalmat off the bench last week, hopefully he can continue to produce in that role.

What the ********** is "TNTL"?? You some kind of 14 year old geek using 'net slang'? Get a job junior. Stick of the A*senal forum, your kind of dopey glory hunting troll doesn't belong here.

You were right! Although it should be submitted that for 89 minutes it was only 1-0 and of course being at Old Trafford the Ref conveniently 'missed' Wes Brown's blatant professional foul on Defoe in the first half. That should have been a red, and if it had been the other way then no doubt the ref would have called it. Disgraceful.

Anyway, as expected Pleat got his tactics and team selection wrong as usual. Putting in Marney ahead of Dalmat?? That failed miserably, no creativity or flair in the midfield to support Keane and Defoe. If you're going to play two little guys up front who want ball to feet it is essential to support them from the midfield, and playing 7 defenders in your team is not going to do that. If he was going to do that he should have at least started Kanoute, give them a crossing target.

As for subbing off Defoe for Kanoute late on, that was stupid and rightly got our lot very unhappy at Pleat. Defoe showed against Leicester that it's essential to leave him on to the end, as any loose ball in the box is going to get pounced on. At that stage he should have taken off Robbie Keane, or maybe risked going 4-3-3 and lost Ziege who disappeared in the last 10 minutes anyway.

Still trying to get adjusted to this new lay out. As for the game, well, that foul on Defoe was pretty blatant.

The foul on Defoe was blatent and should have been a red for Brown. But nevermind..

Giving Marney his debut? a bit of madness from Pleat, IMO. I wouldn't have done that at all.

    3-0 seemed harsh.

hmmmm...the concept of irony obviously hasn't reached the illiterate ranks of arseanl fans yet. you see, he's being a little bit self deprecating and humble with the use of "god's chosen". i suppose in the two weeks you've been following arsenal you havn't felt the need yet to have a laugh about your team's weaknesses. maybe if you stick around a couple of years and wait until they aren't on a 29 game winning streak you'll come to understand.
