Goalkeeping prospects

    Countess will have to make so many saves for RSL, when he's 30, he'll look 40.

    But may be OK as a back-up at 27.

    Overall, it's Howard's gig to lose.

    While Reis is, certainly, a good keeper -- after watching a fair share of MLS matches this season it seems rather clear that Cannon is the class of MLS keepers. I saw him make a flurry of saves a few weeks ago that would have impressed KK. I don't have a dog in this fight -- I'm not a New England or Colorado fan (or fan of any MLS team for that matter) but if we are picking MLS keepers for '10 -- I'm picking Cannon over the rest.

    btw, its difficult for me to evaluate Howard as I've seen him play so rarely over the past year and he looked shaky -- at best -- against Poland in his last cap for US. Certainly, if he can regain his form of 2 years ago (which I would hope he can) he would be the favorite to play in '10 -- I'm just not sure that will happen.
