A most welcome thanks to Melissa and Maite today for dropping by the ING Direct Cafe at 17th/Walnut (where I ran into Sebe at lunchtime). There were a lot more people there today than the three or four that were by last time; attribute it to better promotion of the event on all sides. Probably the last one of the year, and if so, it was nice. But something downright TRAITOROUS! is happening on Comcast SportsNet - they're interviewing Beene and Ms. "We're the best team in the league" Katia (!!) on Daily News Live (Just kidding about the traitor part, folks, before anybody jumps the gun ) Paul
Yes, quite a coincidence running into you Paul. I didn't even know the Charge were at ING Direct! Didn't get a chance to stop in, but looked like they had a nice little crowd to welcome them. I thought it was a very good interview on DNL. Nice to see them giving other WUSA teams air time.
Work volume kept me away. Hopefully, I can sneak out today to make a little trip over to 3rd st at lunch to get something for tonight, but that all depends on how well I do my job between now and then. Perhaps pick up a Basque flag for Zabala?? Anyone wants a great trip, go to Bilbao.
