I have looked all over the place and I cannot find a theatre thats showing the movie. Its kind of frustrating. Anyone know of a theatre in the immediate Philadelphia area that is screening it?

maybe it opens in select cities this weekend then everywhere else next weekend, thats the only explanation I can find why not a SINGLE theatre in our area is showing it.

I tried searching next week on the goal movie website and it still said "sorry try again".

Perhaps there is conspiracy afoot in Philly?

A conspiracy to protect us from Euro and Mexican pandering...honestly kid lives in LA, plays in England and for Mexico - can we include any more stereotypes?

Another Curmudgeonly post from Bryan 76.

    Don't worry though, it's endearing.

Actually the reviews I've read say he will play for the USA.

But I get your point. I say watch it and THEN decide if its all cliches.

The biggest cliche is that he's a foreigner.

I talk to casual sports fans who have a hard time believing that guys like Donovan, Beasley, & McBride who are born in the U.S. can be really better than the foreign guys they see playing the park. Really, they believe that. They just don't see Americans as being able to play with people who have street cred.

    Conspiracy? Not against soccer.

But for some reason, Philly has always missed out on movies that aren't released in 25000 screens.

Edit: The Washington Post seems to agree with Bryan76 ... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/05/11/AR2006051102229.html

Saw it already! Saw it back in January on a flight back from the UK courtesy of Virgin Atlantic. Its ok, a good/feel good movie, but nothing special.
