Thank you, now I know in which competitions Juninho scored his free kick goals. I'm still intrigued by the effectiveness of his shots, but now at least not so much.
@Trachta10 The conversion rate is known just not for his entire career though Juninho's last appearance in a top five European league was in May 2009...He was one goal away from making the top 10. pic.twitter.com/ENUxeFIQO2— Squawka (@Squawka) November 2, 2019
I think this also includes Finalissima for Messi? It should be just World Cup + Copa/Euro. Those are the major tournaments.
How is Copa America top level but not the Confederations Cup? Confederations Cup featured the winner of Copa America, winner of European Championship, World Cup winner, and winners of the other confederations. Each team almost always participated with their full strength. In contrast, many countries hardly sent teams to the Copa America in the past, and when they did, they often sent their second or third team.
Having seen the Confederations Cup matches, I disagree. That was a serious tournament, taken more seriously than Copa America by most countries. Seriousness of a tournament basically depends on the prize money. I think there was more to earn from the Confederations Cup than from the Copa America. A friendly tournament was Tournoi de France 1997.
Don't you think CBF is driven by money? Ditto other national confederations in South America. How many times have CBF withdrawn from the Copa America or have sent either B or C teams or lower league club teams? In contrast, how many times have CBF sent the strongest team to the Confederations Cup? Nearly every time.
Maybe only for Brazil its correct. And even here its basically friendly, no prestige at all. Like Finalissima.

I know the MessivsRonaldo app has all the stats of these two players, but if it's not too much trouble, does anyone have a Messi vs CR7 spreadsheet?
Personally, I am in the camp of the people who consider the Confederations Cup to be an official international competition. It is about the winners of each continental cup, so in absolute terms the best "in the world". The same can be said for the Finalissima, which I consider to be the successor of the defunct Confederations Cup, considering the hegemony of the European and South American teams in the last thirty years. Thus, I give as much credit to the victory of Brazil in 2013 against Spain, as to the victory of Argentina in 2022 against Italy. The same could be said for the Olympic Games, which for me, should also be considered a "major" tournament for a football record, even if only 3 players over 23 years are allowed to play there.
Stats of Roberto Dinamite by the user @EstudeVasco in Twitter 850 Games (85.62 min/game) 512 Goals (97 Penalties, 76 Free kicks, 69 Headers) 157 Assists Per 90 minutes: Non-Penalty Goals: 0.513 Assists: 0.194 Free kicks: 0.094 Headers: 0.085 G+A-PK: 0.707 Goal Involvemet: 45.21% https://twitter.com/EstudeVasco
I've took a sample of 100 open play goals scored with his feet and counted more or less 70 goals with his right foot and 30 with his left foot. This is the same ratio as players we consider two footed like Neymar, but it's below true ambidextrous players like Dembele who is on 50/50. On another note i wish to know if you have compiled Laudrup's assist numbers?
4:18-9:30 Playmaking, passing, key passes and assists of Roberto Dinamite It gets a bit scary when you reach the 9:33 minute mark though(his goalscoring) Absolutely Legendary goalscorer and a complete forward too Freekicks are at the 15:26 mark until the end of the video @Trachta10 @PDG1978 @Edhardy @greatstriker11 @Sexy Beast @SayWhatIWant @Tropeiro
Some of those goals are truly scary. Sort of reminds me of Zidanes elegance and talent in ball control, but when it comes to finishing. He makes it look super simple and manages to bend his body in a way to give himself a scoring chance from impossible angles. Also reminds me of Suarez as a complete forward.
I counted 100 strict rules assists in this video that I know to be from official matches. In truth it seems like a “top 100 assists” compilation because the video maker seems to have been putting only high quality actions into the video. There are almost no simple easy little passes that are common in most assist compilations (assist version of a tap in). I can think of quite a few quality assists he forgot to put in the video too. So the video’s obviously a lot less than the full total. Anyway, there are almost no Argentinos Juniors clips in it but for a few so I estimate this video is drawn from approximately 520 career matches excluding the unofficial. So we know he had a ‘high quality’ assist at least once every 6th game on average. The most elite assist men I’m aware of average about 1 assist every 3rd game over a career span. But how often they do a ‘high quality’ big chance assist I’m not sure.
You lived up to your nickname. But there is no need to put a number on it and hold it as a proxy for something as that will be so heavily dependent on individual circumstances. Maradona is quite clearly one of the best if not the best playmaker in history.
