Here are my estimates of the most decisive players of all time. These results were made by the work of other people like @Trachta10 or @anamnesis del fútbol and other famous soccer history enthusiasts. For the estimations of the assists, a coefficient has been used for them, in absence of knowing the number of goals that their respective team to score (difficult for the distant years).. Coefficient if attacking midfielder: 0,30 x number of games played in career, if forward: 0,20x, if striker: 0,15x. Of course, it's not ideal but it's the only one solution I could find.. Besides I'm open to debate about these numbers with you guys. Cheers, IceBlood34. The players with an asterix correspond to those with an estimate (for assists). What are the best online newspapers archives from around the world to find out these statistics, for different players that these assists are estimated for
Lol yes. That makes sense. That was my first thought but i thought i saw ibrahimovic in the same color as mbappe so i was confused
The average of the best 5 performances in the WC for each player according to Sofascore Ratings Just to clarify, the data is available since 1966, so clearly players like Pelé have great performances that are not registered

Using up my credits on Britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk, and looking to see if there might be 1950 World Cup All-Star teams or something, I stumbled on this instead which is an interesting table based on perhaps goal differences (EDIT: I mean, I'm thinking 'goal difference differences' rather than purely 'goals scored differences' maybe) in International teams during the 20th Century with players playing as opposed to not playing (but I'm not sure exactly and I haven't tried to do any calculations myself to understand further yet - the Cricket bowlers criteria below is explained better and easy to understand): Billy Wright wasn't a striker by the way, but a half-back or centre back. I wasn't sure exactly which thread was best, so thought on this one it'd get some interest and views anyway, even though it's clearly not about direct goal contributions (goals/assists).
Possibly for International career this site can allow Matthews and Finney to be included in any table by Trachta based on Internationals only, by the way: it has Matthews on 25 'post-war' (meaning 2nd I think) assists but has some details in summaries and reports for earlier games too, like these: England Match No. 222 - Ireland - 16 November 1938 - Match Summary and Report (englandfootballonline.com) England Match No. 216 - Germany - 14 May 1938 - Match Summary and Report (englandfootballonline.com) England Players - Stan Matthews (englandfootballonline.com) It has Finney on 32 assists England Players - Tom Finney (englandfootballonline.com)
Alfredo Di Stéfano and Omar Sivori in River Plate Diego Maradona in Napoli Michel Platini in Juventus
Non penalty goals + assists per 90 minutes In 3 seasons "Peak" (club only) In 5 seasons "Peak" (club only) Goal Involvement % 5 seasons "Peak" (club only) 21st century. My criteria was to count at least 200 games, if the player did not reach that number, I add another season (like with Haaland)
Goal Involvement % "Peak" in 200 Consecutive Games Pelé: 61.40% Lionel Messi: 58.53% Diego Maradona: 56.02% Ferenc Puskás: 53.60% Cristiano Ronaldo: 51.82% Zico: 51.29% Erling Haaland: 51.04% Kylian Mbappé: 50.81%
Hi T10 this is just for the sake of clarity after Paulobs's find of two assists where does the total tally for assists stand? I saw this great thread coming back to life with your new post so i thought i would trouble you for yet another post to clear my doubt
Could someone find or recopilate all the free kicks made by Juninho Pernambucano? I've been questioning his free kick success rate.
This is the research of @Bf2015Roly on twitter but the success rate should be almost impossible to know
