By the way, I found a website that talks about Platini's career games and goals. https://www.pari-et-gagne.com/joueur/michel_platini.html This also http://www.michelplatini.org/career_statistics.html
This is just an estimation, only the first two seasons for Juventus are 100% completed, also the national team
Hi trachta . Can you find Gianni" Rivera assist stats ?? According transfermarket ; he had 168 assists . I think he had more ( 250 + )
Charro Moreno 1938 River Plate 31 games (2790 minutes) 24 goals (21 headed goals) 7 assists 0.774 goals per game (0.677 headed goals per game) 0.226 assists per game
Michel Platini season 1984/85 for Juventus 47 games (4016 minutes) 29 goals, 8 penalties, 6 free kicks, 1 headed goal 11 assists G+A-PK per 90: 0.717 Goal Involvement: 41.10%
spreadsheet updated with free kicks and headed goals Pelé Lionel Messi Zico Diego Maradona Cristiano Ronaldo Johan Cruyff
It was just a mistake, is 230. For Maradona I reviewed all the games, and there were a few that were deflected assists. If we don't have a video source is probably that some assist counted are actually deflected
According to the book it's 181 assists for clubs. Sure you found 2 deflected assists. For NT I found 26 assists with footage, but I see you found one more. In which match did you find another assist for NT?
With respect to the minutes of Pelé we have some small differences. 09/10/1961 Santos 3 x Botafogo SP. In this match, Pelé played 88 minutes because he was sent off in the 43rd minute of the 2nd half. https://acervo.estadao.com.br/pagina/#!/19610912-26499-nac-0020-999-20-not/tela/fullscreen 07/23/1967 Santos 2 x 1 Guarani In this match, Pelé played 79 minutes, not 90. http://memoria.bn.br/DocReader/DocReader.aspx?bib=153931_01&Pesq=pele&pagfis=71797 04/07/1969 Brasil 2 x 1 Peru Pelé played 81 minutes, not 75. http://memoria.bn.br/DocReader/DocReader.aspx?bib=153931_01&Pesq=pele&pagfis=94268 https://acervo.estadao.com.br/pagina/#!/19690408-28832-nac-0052-999-52-not/tela/fullscreen
I see you have 4 penalties for the NT, I have 3. Which penalty did I miss? In total, by my count, Maradona scored 88 of 104 penalties kicked. 🔟 #Maradona en la selección @Argentina: 🏟 89 partidos (7831 min)🕙 p90⚽️ 32 goles (0.37)🅰️ 26 asistencias (0.30)🅿️ 3 penales©️ 42.62% contribución de G+A-P🏆 2 títulos pic.twitter.com/eYEuBf48gO— Anamnesis del fútbol (@AnamnesisF) June 16, 2022
I also found 26 with the footage available, but that person who made a book of him with stats told me that he has 27 counted. So I took that number. About the PK, yes is 3 with the national team, I actually had that number counted in another spreadsheet but forgot to update it with this one So this is with the correction Pelé Zico, one more assist, now 206
This is couting penalty shootouts, and is actually not correct In game penalties Maradona has 88/104 In penalty shootouts 4/7 In total is 92/111
What is your source? Mine is analysts who have sat down and watched 90+ of his career penalties,Asif kapadia (director on the world wide acclaimed movie biopic Maradona) etc https://twelveyards.substack.com/p/maradonas-penalty-legacy If you want to rely on some less authoritative sources your number is still also incorrect https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/what-is-diego-maradona-s-record-in-penalties/blt8308abdd6b4e890b Overall we can agree a substantial amount of Maradonas career goals were spot kicks Roughly in the ball park of 25%
The second link you gave is just using the same table as the first, is not a different source I used a book that has all his official games, so I read the description of every goal he scored. There is also a person in Twitter that had his own book with stats that has the same number, 88 penalties (85 in clubs and 3 with the natonal team) I can assure that Maradona had 7 penalties scored with Barcelona in game + one in shootouts against Las Palmas for Copa del Rey, giving a total of 8. So, for what I'm seeing that list you show is counting penalty shootouts for clubs but is not couting the ones for Argentina Netherlands 79 (shootout, scored) Paraguay (in game, scored) Ecuador 87 (in game, scored) Yugoslavia 90 (shootout, missed) Italy 90 (shootout, scored) Denmark 93 (shootout, scored) Morocco 94 (in game, scored)
@Trachta10 Could you pass me Zico's spreadsheet plus his games in Japan. Also the updated spreadsheets of Puskás and Di Stéfano.
This spreadsheet don't have free kicks and header goals Zico (remember for Japan is just an estimation) Puskás I decied to be a little more conservative with the estimation for season 1953, previously I had 35, now is 31. Because Puskás assisted the 40% of the goals he didn't score in this season, if I estimate using that number, then the estimation is 35. But if I estimate using his average in Hungray, that is arround 27%, then the estimation is 31. Roberto Baggio I still haven't confirmed it 100%, but there is an user on youtube that is uploading all his assists
Baggio's high G/A percentage is interesting. I think it is not a minor fact that his teams have the worst goal ratio of all the players analyzed. I still believe that players like Puskás have a harder time having a high G/A percentage. Of course, this is not a closed issue. In football everything is debatable.
