For fun the Norwegian website "toppserien.com" has entered a "Dreamteam" called TELETUBBIES in the "Europeanwomenssoccer.com" WUSA Fantasy League. Apparently you can only select three players from each team and "toppserien.com" has chosen Hege Riise, Unni Lehn, and Kristin Luckenbill from the Courage. Bax, Burtie and Birgit. I had Hege and Lucks but for salary cap reasons went with Pags and Angela Hucles
Birgit Prinz I didn't see anything about the salary cap included with the "Europeanwomenssoccer.com" rules, but the Norwegian article says that it is 40 Million. Since you are limited to only three Courage players and since TELETUBBIES is 3 M under the cap I would have suggested taking Birgit (6.3 M) as a forward instead of Unni (3.3 M).

Millie & Birgit Now there's an awesome duo to have starting at forward on your "Dreamteam!" Just imagine how much offense that pair would generate if you could actually have them on the same team.
Dreamteam Rules I know that you are only allowed to take a maximum of three players from one team, but isn't there another "unwritten" rule that says that Courage fans aren't allowed to select any players from the Beat, especially "thug" defenders like Bivens.

Atlanta Thugs on Courage Fan's Dream Team!?!? Did Nonen get ejected from that match or was it only TR? Didn't Birgit also get carded in that match for saying something to an official in German?
TR's dismissal (Post #100!) TR was the only one who got ejected from that match. Mostly, it was because Nonen was not punished appropriately, certainly in my opinion and probably in TR's (hence the "discussion"). Yes, Birgit also got a yellow card in that match. I do not know why. I just always assumed it was because <inflammatory comments about Terry Vaughn's refereeing acumen deleted>.

Yeah, I got to see the game on TV. I remember that it was the same day as a block party in my neighborhood, and I ducked out at halftime to load up my plate before watching the second half! I did get your message. It's no big deal to me, either, but thanks for the explanation. And I'll make sure to give you credit whenever I'm quoting Norwegian!
Birgit's Yellow Card I ended up watching that match at Junior Seau's Sports Bar, but unfortunately the sound was turned off so we didn't hear any explanation about what was going on at the end of that match. During the 2001 season Gro Espeseth got her fourth yellow card and a one match suspension for saying something VERY LOUDLY in Norwegian to a referee so I thought maybe something similar might have happened to Birgit. Dreamteam Selections So how far under the salary cap were you with your team Oddball#34? I'm definitely interested in entering a team, but my biggest challenge will be only getting to select three players from the Courage. Right now I'm leaning towards choosing Hege, Birgit, and "Lucks."
