Opening day going to sell out? What's the prognosis for the home opener? My club team (Ball State) is playing a game on the field after the game's done, so we're bringing like 50 people. Of course, all my BS brothers are invited. Anybody have any idea where they're going to seat us with the group rate? We're paying $15 each, including a ticket, a Tshirt, a hot dog, and a drink. Are these gonna be upper deck seats or what? All my teammates get to go to the players afterparty, also, which should be pretty sweet. I'll try to bring some pictures back, if possible.
Given the reduced capacity for this game, it will most certainly sellout. You guys may well be standing on the sideline or behind the goal (just a guess).
Tix? I triede ordering tix from the office last week, they said that they weren't going on sale, barring Season Tix, until the 29th.... So, you should be fine....
a fine strategy for a sell-out... wait until 2 weeks before the game to sell tickets. Someone explain, please?
The front office is under pressure to sell season tickets and you can't sell season tickets if you've sold individual tickets to the best seats for the first game. They knew that with a 7,000 capacity they aren't going to have any trouble selling out the first game anyway.
Talking about selling tickets and season tickets doesn't it seem funny there have been no newspaper ads by the fire to sell season tickets?
When I was back in Naperville, all the Daily Heralds were wrapped in a sheet of paper "This edition of the Daily Herlad brought to you by The Chicago Fire." Huge Logo and everything. It gave the web address, but I can't remember whether or not it encouraged you to buy season tickets
With the capacity of about 7,000 for the home opener this game should be soldout on Saturday the 29th, the day single game tickets go on sale. Also the 2nd game of the season should be soldout on Saturday also with only 7,000 capacity. If it's not soldout it's not going to look too good.
It seems that the only two types of tickets available individually are $35 premium and $15 Section 8 GA tickets. This is a pretty bold move but I like it. There are probably no more than 2000 tickets available. If the home opener is on a nice day, a lot of walkup will have to go back home unsatisfied.
Does Moeller have any injury problems? Even if not, what is he going to cost and who are we going to have to get rid of to add him to the orster? The last thing we need after the last two seasons is yet another expensive, aging, injury-prone guy sitting on our bench.
On top of all this, we just signed Andy Williams. We plan on sitting him on the bench and/or taking PT from one of the many young talented players on the roster?
Nothing profound to add, other than "Man, it's good to FINALLY see this thread!" Go Fire! See ya Sunday.
Well, just for a laugh I went on ticketmaster and put in 50 tickets and 50 Section 8 tickets came up! So im sure if anyone needs a few more its no problem. The same exact thought came to my mind as well. Lets make Section 8 rockin, with the small crowd, they're gonna need us!
Beware though because I was told there were less than 200 tickets left last Friday. This game may still sell out before Sunday. Marcin
Greetings Fire People i am from minneapolis and will be joining in for your opening day celebrations two of us in attendance we have our section 8 tickets and we are ready to sing our lungs out (we get loads of practice at minnesota thunder matches) is there going to be any pre-game equivilant of a tailgate etc cant wait to enter the cardinal realm and hang out with you all any tips for us (or warnings!!!!!) bruce
I just ordered two additional tickets for this game from the Fire office. It still seems like tickets are availble in many sections. Kinda surprises me. But, as UltraCinek said, if it's nice (which it should be) most, if not all, tickets will be sold.
What's crowd capacity for 4/13? What is the seating capacity going to be on Sunday? I thought I saw that initially it will be only 5000 before going to 7500 in May and 9500 in June.
