Jose was his first name on wikipedia also.

I'm guessing he has passion for the game, a cultured right foot, but will need time to gel with the team.

    Cliche enough for everyone?

Does Abundis come with a walker, cane and orthopedic shoes?

He's old, slow and no better in the air than Twellman.

Remember Carlos Hermosillo with the Galaxy? That's what you'll be looking at here.

I still can't believe DC is bringing in Mathias Donnet and the Revs are trialing a has-been like Abundis. Completely laughable.

Never seen this guy play ... so I'll take your word for it.

Luckily I wasn't too excited about it anyway...

    Ewww.....

Maybe a former NT member that could consistently score would light some fire under Noonan and Twellman, as well as teach Simms something.

Would you like rice and beans with that?

I'm trying to figure out if FDA saw the future...
"Veteran Mexican striker Juan Manuel Abundis trained with the Revolution Thursday"

It would appear this is him.

    And here's his basic resume.

He's been in the MFL since the 92 season. Started with Toluca, and has spent time with Atlante, Monterrey and Pachuca. He's 32.

Well maybe with this guy he will give us some unpredictability, something we are currently lacking.

No, creativity would imply he has value. If he had value, why is he signing in the MLS? I said unpredictability... you know, what Khaninho has.

Expect that that the Revs are trying to pander to the Mexican demographic here so a assumes we only sign him if he can play. Even though they are not one of the bigger names here in the US, Toluca as been a power house in the MLF for the past 10 years or so. It looks like this guy has pretty good numbers with them up until this passed spring season so that much is encouraging. I'll ask my MFL fanboy friends if they have any info on him and post anything useful here.

Personally i' pleasantly surprised that we have a change of bringing some out might be pretty good, i finger we already shot our wad on those guys SN had be chasing for the last few mouths but didn't work out.

    (this one)

indicates he might do on occassion, I'll take him because we don't do that very oftem anymore

In fairness to the Revs, it's a lot harder when you restrict your scouting to guys who live in the cities where you do your preseason training, or who have girlfriends in the greater-Boston area.

LOL ....sorry what i mean was after the "Transfer imminent" Guys fell though i figured the Revs have used up their time and resources on them and would not have enough time to line up anyone useful. So i'm pleasantly surprised we might end up with someone who might be very good.
