Argentina pica en punta para ser la sede de la Copa América 2028.No descartan que Buenos Aires tenga dos estadios: Monumental y Bombonera.Podrían incluir a Uruguay con el Centenario y la cancha de Peñarol.Toda la info la cuento en Bolavip 👇https://t.co/DHGjYvkqka— Germán Carrara (@GermanCarrara) July 23, 2024 Argentina emerging as a leading candidate to host the 2028 Copa. Possibly together with Uruguay.
meh, June 2025 wasn't really an option anyway since the WC qualifiers will be in full swing. March 2026 is the only option that I can see, but it requires Italy to win their qualifying group.
#GoldCup #CopaOro pic.twitter.com/UWP4NFEhl1— Jaime Ojeda (@jaimeor96) August 20, 2024 So no Super Duper Gold Cup. With all the Concacaf sponsorship news, I can only wonder who that single guest will be. (Minus the Al Hilal players)
Euro2024 delivers record numbers and €935m into HatTrick programme: https://www.insideworldfootball.com...vers-record-numbers-e935m-hattrick-programme/
Not many people would know that at EUR 935m for the 2025-28 cycle, the UEFA HatTrick solidarity programme far exceeds the amount distributed to the Olympic movement by the IOC through the Olympic Solidarity programme at USD$590m for the 2021-24 cycle.
Some common sense reporting coming through: the high probability of weakened guest teams with the Club World Cup, plus the Concacaf Nations League regulations giving a major hint as to the Gold Cup field (8 direct qualifiers and 14 play-in participants, likely for 7 berths = 15 out of 16), makes this the most likely outcome.
@vancity eagle Is Senegal trending down in your opinion or they just had bad matches against Burkina Faso and Burundi? Plus I think they also had a bad window on the summer Didn't watch the games, I am just asking based on stats and the scoreline
Camp Nou dreaming of hosting Spain-Argentina Finalissima: https://www.barcablaugranes.com/202...eaming-of-hosting-spain-argentina-finalissima There is no way Spain would want to play in Barcelona, is there?
Northern Ireland no longer a Euro 2028 host? https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/uk...nt-belfast-stadium-time-euro-2028-2024-09-13/ I don’t think there is another suitable venue. Windsor Park is too small.
No I dont think they are trending down necessarily. Teams often have bad windows in CAF when playing lesser opposition who just sit back and park the bus. They also controlled each one of those matches the drew and missed a number of chances. I would say they definately have trouble breaking down those kind of teams, but just looking at the past AFCON, they were EASILY the best team of the first round of matches, before losing to the host and eventual winners CIV on penalties in the knockouts. Also they beat Brazil 4-2 in a friendly not too long ago (although Brazil is a far cry from their former selves) But this shows more what they can do in an open match against similar teams rather than breaking down bunkering opponents.
2025 Gold Cup confirmed as a 16-team event, putting to rest any special edition rumours with guest teams from all confederations: https://www.concacaf.com/gold-cup/a...s-host-cities-and-stadiums-for-2025-gold-cup/ There is once again a Canadian venue (Vancouver). Hopefully it gets to host more than one measly match as Toronto did in 2023.
